Céline Dion made a surprise appearance on “Sunday Night Football” before the Pittsburgh Steelers faced the Dallas Cowboys.
Hours before kickoff, “Sunday Night Football” previewed the music superstar’s debut on the NBC show.
The official X account for “SNF” posted a video of Dion strolling down a corridor with the start to her hit song “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” playing in the background. She gazed at the camera and crossed her arms over her Steelers and Cowboys sweater.
“It’s all coming back to Sunday night,” the clever caption said. Dion also reposted it on her social media accounts.
At the start of the show, Dion announced her participation in the Sunday broadcast.
Dion made an appearance in a video for football fans, showcasing scenes from the legendary Steelers-Cowboys rivalry just before the delayed kickoff. While she narrated the episode, “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now” played in the background.
“I think my favorite thing about this game is its power to connect who we are to who we were,” she said as the video turned to a close-up of her “Taking Chances” single.
The performer went on, “To prove that our most powerful memories, our most enduring loves, can stay with us forever,”
“You know what I’m talking about, right?” she questioned the audience. “Some nights, it just all comes back.”
Dion’s video helped get NFL fans excited for the Cowboys-Steelers game, which will be the two teams’ first primetime meeting since 1982. This is also the Cowboys and Steelers’ first NBC game since 1996.
“Like so many old flames, it feels natural when they get back together. Don’t you think? Tonight, they evoke the same enchantment they’ve previously cultivated. Dion praised the timeless classic of the Cowboys and Steelers on Sunday night.
At the end of the film, the superstar participates in a football ritual by having Gatorade dumped on her head. She rejoiced by pumping her fist in the air.
Dion’s “SNF” participation comes after she performed at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris this summer. She gave a faultless performance of Edith Piaf’s “Hymne à l’amour” from the Eiffel Tower.
It was her first public performance after revealing her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis in December 2022.
