Charlize Theron, a Hollywood actress, has been praised for her reaction to claims that she had cosmetic surgery

The Oscar winner said that her face was ‘changing’ and ‘aging,’ but she argued that it had nothing to do with having a facelift.

“My face is changing, and I love that my face is changing and aging,” the 48-year-old Mad Max star remarked in an interview with Allure.

“However, some believe I got a facelift. ‘What did she do to her face?’ they wonder.

“I’m like, ‘Bitch, I’m just getting older!'” It does not imply that I have had poor plastic surgery. This is exactly what occurs.”

Theron also spoke out against the ‘double standard’ that exists between men and women as they age.

“I’ve always had issues with men aging like fine wines and women aging like cut flowers,” she adds.

“I despise that concept and want to fight it, but I also believe that women want to age in a way that feels natural to them.”

“I believe we need to be a little more understanding of how we all go through our journey.” My ordeal of having to see my face on a billboard is now rather amusing.”

Fans of the actress reacted positively to her candid remarks, with one user writing on X, now known as Twitter: “The response was great!”

“Everyone ages differently,” wrote another. Each lady decides whether or not to get cosmetic operations. “I appreciate her perspectives on aging.”

“Does she even realize she is an absolute icon in all stages of her life?” someone else said.

Theron did, however, mention one aspect of her life in which she concedes that aging has its drawbacks.

“I will never, ever do a movie again and say, ‘Yeah, I’ll gain 40 pounds,'” she said.

“I will never do it again because you cannot remove it.”

“I did Monster when I was 27. I dropped 30 pounds seemingly overnight. I skipped three meals and returned to my regular weight.

“Then I did it at 43 for Tully, and I remember calling my doctor a year into trying to lose the weight and saying, ‘I think I’m dying because I can’t lose this weight.'”

“And he said, ‘You’re over 40.’ “Please relax. Your metabolism isn’t what it used to be.’

“Nobody wants to hear that.”
