Compare the then and now images of Harrison Ford and Ke Huy Quan, which are softening hearts all over the globe…

On Sunday, Ke Huy Quan and Harrison Ford, who starred together in the 1984 picture “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” reconnected on the most important platform in the film business.

A joyful embrace was shared between Best Supporting Actor winner Quan and Oscar presenter Ford as the cast and crew of “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once” joined together on stage to accept the award for Best Picture at the Academy Awards.

A shot that contrasted the moment with one from the film “Temple of Doom” about forty years ago that featured Ford’s Indy and Quan’s Short Round in an embrace provided a heartwarming look back and forth between the two eras.

Quan rose to fame as a kid actor, but his career did not take off until after the release of “Everything Everywhere All at Once.”

During the D23 Expo in September, Quan and Ford did have a friendly exchange with one another.

“When he glances at me and points the finger in my direction, he asks, “Are you Short Round?” “I was immediately taken back to 1984 when I was a small child, and I replied, ‘Yes, Indy,'” Quan recalled in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “And then he beckoned for me to come here before embracing me with a bear embrace.”
