On Friday’s mind-blowing episode of The Price is Correct, the price was almost exactly correct.
During the Showcase Showdown, host Drew Carey was completely taken aback when a participant approached the prize so closely that Carey referred to it as the “best Showcase bid in the history of the show.”
Patrice Masse, from Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada, played the game and advanced to the Showcase Showdown. He bid $39,500 for a prize package that included a vacation to Miami and a new automobile.
When the moment came to unveil the true worth of the prize package, Carey was stunned.
As the crowd and Masse awaited the findings, he started, “So, let me tell you…”
“Thirty-nine thousand, five-oh-one.”
Watch the wild scene in the video below.
Masse’s offer was within a dollar; therefore, he won both prize packages.
According to the current guidelines, any candidate who comes close to $250 without going over wins both showcases. Masse’s astounding estimate earned him one of the show’s few Double Showcase winners.
Congratulations, Patrice! What an incredible win. That will undoubtedly rank among the greatest victories in the history of game shows.
