When it came to his young daughter, one California father decided to choose his fights wisely.
He promised his wife that he would let the kid choose what to wear on photo day after selecting three clothes for her, and the young girl rejected them all. When the parents saw the finished product, they couldn’t stop themselves from posting the school picture online for everyone to see. They had not anticipated the reception they received.
Kaylieann Steinbach of Rocklin, California, is a one-of-a-kind young lady. In fact, you might argue that she’s superhuman. She’s self-sufficient, understands what she wants, and isn’t afraid to express it. She also does not allow anything to get in her way. The three-year-old demonstrated this on school photo day when she chose the right dress to wear. Her parents had no idea how influential a school photo might be.
Austin Steinbach was not angry when Kaylieann declined to wear the three ensembles he chose for the day’s school photographs. “I’ve always wanted her to be as independent as possible,” he says. Kaylieann opted to choose her own outfit, which happened to be a Supergirl costume. Don’t worry, she had the ideal accessory for the ensemble as well.

“She walked up, examined each of her options, turned, and exclaimed, ‘Pootergirl!'” According to the Huffington Post, Austin Steinbach remembered. “And, well, I couldn’t argue with that answer.” So the toddler grinned brightly as she sat proudly with her “Pooterman,” as Kaylieann refers to him.
Kaylieann looked gorgeous with Superman as her sidekick, with the two wearing identical attire. When Kaylieann’s parents received the school image, they appreciated how it showcased her special affinity for superheroes and proudly uploaded it online for their relatives and friends to see.
“Grandma! My school photographs arrived today!” Austin wrote a letter accompanying the photograph, which drew the attention of much more people than the girl’s grandparents. As the picture garnered additional attention, it was soon found that tiny Kaylieann was much more than simply her unusual costume inspiration, according to Fox 40.

Yes, Kaylieann is a huge fan of superheroes. Austin was not shocked when she selected the outfit since she dresses up for school all the time. “I like how she’s wearing these,” he added. So her dress didn’t surprise me at all. Something else, though, did.
Her parents were taken aback when her 3-year-old’s fashion decision went viral, with her photo being shared throughout the nation. It seems that many others thought it was lovely as well. “I’m still amazed by it. “I still can’t believe it,” her mother, Jami Steinbach, said.
But the snapshot has earned a lot more than just laughs. “The reaction and turnout from the deaf community is amazing,” Austin added. “I still haven’t gotten through all of the messages of support and kind words that people have sent me.” I had no idea how many people would be moved by her photograph.”

That’s correct; Supergirl’s parents were instantly overwhelmed by the deaf community’s support. The Rocklin child, you see, is 75 percent deaf in both ears. That’s why she has trouble hearing and pronouncing the letter “S” properly, saying “Pooterman” instead of “Superman.” Nonetheless, Kaylieann is an inspiration, demonstrating that “being deaf isn’t necessarily a disability,” as Jami put it. “You’re still able to go out there and be yourself, to be creative.”

Indeed, Kaylieann’s attire is only a reflection of the superhero that she is. In the face of what most might consider an unfair difficulty, Kaylieann exhibits confidence and originality, demonstrating that a so-called impairment may be all about perspective. She’s not going to allow her “struggles” to bring her down. Perhaps we could all learn a thing or two from this superwoman.
