David Schwimmer has paid homage to Matthew Perry, his Friends co-star, who died unexpectedly last month.
Perry died on October 28, 2014, at the age of 54, after being discovered dead in his home’s hot tub.
With his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, the actor rose to global popularity, endearing himself to millions with snarky jokes and smart remarks.
Perry became a significant part of pop culture in the 1990s, and the sitcom’s continuing appeal shows no signs of abating three decades after it first aired.
He’d been outspoken about his lifetime fight with alcohol and drug addiction, most notably in his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir, which was published last year.

His struggles resulted in several periods of treatment as well as major health issues. He performed a series of interviews to promote his book in which he openly opened up about his challenges, becoming tearful at times as he went into genuine detail.
Many of Perry’s co-stars, including Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, and Courteney Cox, have gone to social media to commemorate him after his terrible death.
Schwimmer has now paid his respects, as have many of his other Friends co-stars.
He captioned his Instagram post, “Matty, thank you for 10 years of fun and inspiration.

“I’ll never forget your comic timing and delivery.” You could bend a straight line of discourse to your desire, resulting in something completely unique and surprisingly humorous that still amazes you.
“You also had heart.” Which you were gracious and shared with us, allowing us to become a family of six strangers.
“This is a snapshot from one of my favorite times with you. It makes me happy and sad at the same time.
“I see you up there someplace, in that same white suit, hands in your pockets, looking around—
“‘Could there be any more clouds?'”
Meanwhile, Aniston said on Instagram: “In a post today (November 15), Aniston began, “Oh yeah, this one has hurt deep.”
“Having to say goodbye to our Matty has been an insane wave of emotions that I’ve never experienced before,” she said. We have all suffered loss at some point in our lives. The loss of life or the loss of love Being able to sit in this sadness helps you experience joy and appreciation for having loved someone so deeply. And we loved him a lot.”
