Following Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ arrest and indictment, a video of him with Justin Bieber leaked online. The rediscovered footage shows the duo appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! together when Bieber was 16 years old.
The film shows the couple reflecting on their friendship at the time, and some of what Combs said did not age well. Kimmel begins the conversation by asking how they became friends and if they are working on any songs together. Combs adds, “I think that we have strangely become friends,” adding, “It’s like Rob & Big,” referring to skateboarder Rob Dyrdek and his bodyguard Christopher ‘Big Black’ Boykin. “To many of us, he’s like a little brother. He doesn’t hesitate to contact and seek advice. He is someone who understands the record industry, which is a powerful family. He’s someone we really want to keep because, aside from his abilities, he’s a wonderful guy.”
The rapper went on to say, “He’s one of the greatest kids you could ever know.” At this moment, Kimmel asked, “You know, Diddy bought his son a Bentley; maybe he could buy you one as well while you’re at it.”
Bieber, now 30, said, “He got me a Lamborghini.” “I haven’t received it yet,” Bieber said, to which Kimmel responded, “When will it arrive?” The Lamborghini. We discussed this last time.” Comments such as “The Lamborghini was his property for a day or two, and he had access to the house” have not held up well over time. He knows better than to discuss his activities with Big Brother Puff on national television. “Everything is not for everyone.” A court twice denied Combs’ bail after his arrest on Sept. Despite the allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering, the rapper has consistently denied any illegal activity, even as 120 new accusers have come forward.
“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo informed UNILAD after his arrest. Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music legend, self-made millionaire, devoted family guy, and accomplished philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years establishing an empire, enjoying his children, and fighting to better the Black community. He is a flawed individual, but he is not a criminal.” To his credit, Mr. Combs has been completely forthcoming throughout this investigation, and he willingly traveled to New York last week in anticipation of these allegations.
“These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
