Dolly Parton is well-known in both the country music and celebrity industries.
Despite spending most of her life dancing and singing, the Tennessee native has become nothing short of a legend, and she has enjoyed entertaining her legions of followers. Despite the fact that she continues to create new songs, the 76-year-old music legend has just stated that she will no longer tour.

In an interview with Pollystar, Dolly Parton recently addressed why she will no longer be going on tour. She stated:
I put on a few original performances here and there. Perform a few gigs, possibly during a festival or over the course of a long weekend. However, I no longer intend to embark on a full-fledged tour.
Instead, the 76-year-old country music queen plans to continue writing songs and spend more time with her loving husband, Carl Thomas Dean.
Dolly and Carl Dean first met in front of the Wishy Washy Laundromat in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1964. Carl was 21 at the time, and Dolly was 18 at the time. Carl saw something unusual about the young lady right away.

When they first met, Dean remarked, “I’m going to marry that girl,” according to an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“Lord, she’s gorgeous,” I thought to myself afterward. And it was at that point that I was born. I wouldn’t exchange the previous 50 years on this planet for anything.
In a 1976 interview with the New York Times, Dolly said Dean “holled” at her while he was sitting in his pickup truck and noticed her. She, however, rebuffed his offer of a date. Instead, she asked him to come to her house a few days later, when she was caring for her nephew. It was the beginning of an unending love story.

Dolly and Carl married in a private ceremony in Ringgold, Georgia, in May 1966. Her record label urged them to postpone their wedding because she had a career to consider. Dean and Dolly, however, were eager and chose to marry in Georgia rather than Tennessee so that their union would not be reported there. Dolly, Carl, and her mother were the only ones present.
Dolly and Carl have been profoundly in love ever since. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2016. They decided to celebrate by renewing their vows.
They’ll be spending a lot more time together now.
Parton described her travel adventures in an interview with Pollstar:

It takes a lot of time and effort, and I’ve been doing it my entire life. I like to spend more time at home with my husband. Because we’re getting older, I don’t want to go away for more than four or five weeks at a time. Something may happen. I wouldn’t be pleased if someone needed me while I was away. I’d feel terrible if I had to end a tour early due to a family emergency and couldn’t leave the fans behind.
