Dolly Parton has postponed some of her Las Vegas gigs due to “health challenges.”
On Sunday, September 28, the country music superstar shared the news with followers on Instagram.
“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” Parton, who is 79 years old, wrote.
She went on, “As many of you know, I’ve been suffering from certain health issues, and my physicians have advised me that I need to undergo a few treatments. As I joked with them, “It must be time for my 100,000 check-up, but this isn’t your typical trip to see my plastic surgeon!”
“Honestly, I can’t rehearse and perform the show I want you to see and that you deserve.” You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to do my best for you,” the “9 to 5” singer continued.
“And don’t worry about me quitting the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet,” Parton once penned. “But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you.”

“I love you, and thank you for understanding,” she said at the end of her message.
The statement was accompanied by a list of altered tour dates, suggesting that the country star’s impending December 2025 gigs will be rescheduled for the autumn of 2026.
Parton was originally set to play in Las Vegas for a short time at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum. This would have been her first lengthy run in the city in 32 years.

PEOPLE contacted Parton’s representatives for comment on Sunday, September 28, but did not get an immediate response.

Parton missed an engagement at Dollywood, her theme park in Tennessee, on September 17th due to kidney stones.
“I had a kidney stone that was causing me a lot of problems; it turned out it’d given me an infection, and the doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be traveling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better,'” she said in a taped message to supporters.
