Dolly Parton wants to rejoin Led Zeppelin for amazing plans

Dolly Parton, with her illustrious career marked by numerous achievements such as creating iconic songs, donating over 100 million books to children, supporting COVID vaccine research, and establishing her amusement park, is now venturing into a new musical realm. As she returns to the studio for her forthcoming record, Parton aims for an extraordinary feat: reuniting Led Zeppelin.

Expressing her desire to bring Robert Plant and Jimmy Page together to perform “Stairway to Heaven” on her new album, Parton, renowned for her country pop hits like “9 to 5,” is currently exploring the rock and roll genre. Initially revealing her genre-shifting project when nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Parton declined the nomination, citing a desire not to detract votes from others. Nevertheless, she hinted at a potential rock album, inspired by the nomination, stating, “This has inspired me to put out a hopefully great rock ‘n’ roll album at some point in the future.”

Despite her initial reservations, Parton, voted into the Hall of Fame by fans, remains committed to proving herself as a rock and roll performer. In an interview with Pollstar, she disclosed her long-standing wish to create a rock album, influenced by her husband’s love for hard rock. Motivated by the favorable situation, she expressed a desire for rock legends to join her on the album.

Parton’s grand ambition involves reuniting Led Zeppelin’s Plant and Page to re-record their iconic track, “Stairway to Heaven.” While Zeppelin disbanded in 1980 after drummer John Bonham’s death, Parton believes she can bring them back together, proposing roles for Plant and Page on her album. Although Plant has previously declined talks of a reunion, Parton remains undeterred, stating, “I’m trying to see if Robert Plant will sing on it. Maybe Jimmy Page will do the pick-up part.”

Parton previously covered “Stairway to Heaven” on her album “Halo and Horns,” giving it a country ballad twist. However, for her new rock album, she plans to return to the song’s hard rock roots, promising a faithful rendition of the original.

In addition to Page and Plant, Parton envisions collaborations with other classic artists on her album. While details about guest performers are yet to be disclosed, she expresses excitement about the prospect.

The story concludes with a call to share excitement for Dolly Parton’s upcoming rock album and the hope that she can successfully bring Led Zeppelin into the recording studio for this remarkable collaboration.
