We can establish friends throughout our lives, but none will likely be as significant as childhood pals.
The notion of friendship is fairly easy when a youngster meets friends; relationships between childhood pals are something special and unique.
Childhood friendship is open, honest, and free. Childhood buddies remind us of fantastic and magical times in our lives.
They remind us that life is wonderful and that every moment should be cherished. We don’t have to conceal or fake our childhood buddies.
We pretend to be someone we are not because they know who we are. Childhood friends are never far away, regardless of time or geography.
Years pass, yet when we encounter them again, there is always something that binds us together. They provide excellent justifications for time travel.

This is exactly what occurred to Bortman and Gill, two elderly women. The women had known each other since they were children.
Their residences were just close to each other. They shared a school and spent all of their leisure time together.
They did, however, separate ways after graduating from high school.
Gill married, and Bortman moved to another city to study. They each started their separate adult lives.
Women attempted to stay in contact at first, calling and writing letters, congratulating each other on the New Year and birthdays.

However, the link eventually broke. Since then, many years have gone by. Bortman was suffering from health issues.
She had never married and had no one to care for her. She made the decision to relocate to a nursing home. She ran across a familiar face while walking around the yard.
When she took a closer look at the elderly lady, she recognized her childhood friend Gill in her. The women couldn’t believe they’d finally met after all these years.
Gill stated that she had leg difficulties for a long time and that walking was difficult for her.
After giving it some thought, she decided that moving to a nursing home, where she would receive medical care, would be preferable.

After all, children and grandkids are often away from home throughout the day.
Fortunately, friends had chosen the same location. They were relieved to see each other again.
Bortman and Gill appeared to be the perky, joyful girls they were as children.
They are now inseparable, strolling together, eating lunch together, and engaging in lengthy chats. They hadn’t seen one another in a lifetime, after all.
