After her murder, Kristina Joksimovic’s father discovered her chopped head.
Local media identified Joksimovic’s spouse as Thomas, who is currently on trial in Switzerland for suspected murder of the 38-year-old.
Early this year, reports suggest that Thomas, who was a contestant in the 2007 Miss Switzerland pageant, killed and dismembered the wife and mother, then pureed her body parts in a blender.

Joksimovic’s family members initially became concerned about her well-being after her children’s nursery contacted her parents to report they hadn’t heard from her.
Concerned, her parents went to Joksimovic’s house in Basel, Switzerland, where they only discovered Thomas.
According to the spouse, he had no idea where Joksimovic was.
One of Joksimovic’s pals told MailOnline: “For hours, he pretended as if nothing was wrong, chatting with her father and making dinner for everyone before tucking the children into their beds.”
Despite claims that Joksimovic was not in the house, her father began looking around to see what he might discover.
On February 13, he allegedly found a garbage bag containing his daughter’s recognizable gold hair.

“When he opened the black bin bag, he saw her cut-off head with the hair still attached,” a buddy told me.
People claim that the father screamed as he fled the scene, pleading with a passerby to call the police.
Swiss broadcaster FM1 Today reported an autopsy report that found Joksimovic’s body “dismembered in the laundry area using a jigsaw power tool, knife, and secateurs.”

Parts of her corpse had also reportedly been ‘pureed’ using a hand mixer and dissolved in a chemical solution.
The day after the discovery of Joksimovic’s body, authorities arrested Thomas, 41, who allegedly confessed to killing his wife. According to local news site BZ Basel, Thomas claimed that he committed the heinous murder in self-defense after his wife assaulted him with a knife.
The Federal Court in Lausanne rejected Thomas’ plea for release from detention on Wednesday (September 11).
Joksimovic died from strangulation, according to reports.
