Bertinelli resorted to Instagram this week to share a video of herself on a walk while discussing her health and weight. She has struggled with her weight since she was a child, but she is now much healthier.
Bertinelli stated in the caption that she began taking her health seriously in November. Her primary concerns were her emotional and mental health, which she had previously struggled with.
Bertinelli stated that she was absorbing the negative comments about her since she was saying the same things to herself. She found methods to be nicer to herself via counseling, meditation, and writing.

She began worrying about her body’s nutrition as she began caring more about herself. She forgot about the number of calories in the meal she ate and focused on whether she was obtaining the nutrients she needed from those calories.
The actress concentrated on eating and drinking things that made her body feel better, and she revealed she didn’t drink alcohol in January and planned to do so again in July.
Bertinelli revealed that she had considerably reduced her alcohol use, which she says has helped her lose the weight she was carrying “for protection.” She stated that she has much more to say about the subject and would continue to talk about it before thanking supporters for reading, reminding them that they are sufficient, and affirming:
“I’m really starting to love myself.”

Bertinelli said in the video that November was the month she “got free,” referring to her divorce from her second husband, Tom Vitale. Fans responded positively to Bertinelli’s tweet, congratulating her on her accomplishment.
One fan said she looked amazing, while another wondered how she didn’t age and when she’d stop appearing so young. The fan added that they had been watching Bertinelli onscreen since her days on “One Day at a Time” until today, through her Instagram videos, which they like.

Bertinelli’s divorce from Vitale has now been finalized for six months. She asked on Sunday if she was ready to explore having another relationship.
She did so by lip-syncing to BoyWithUke’s 2021 song Two Moons, in which she indicated she isn’t ready to even consider a new relationship with another man anytime soon.
Bertinelli has frequently stated that Vitale was a narcissist who was judgmental of her weight. The couple divorced in November of last year.

One of Bertinelli’s admirers even questioned her about why she tolerated the unbearable, and the actress claimed the inquiry helped her recover since it went to the bottom of the problem and allowed her to tap into her healing.
Bertinelli’s divorce from Vitale was finalized in November of last year, but she filed for divorce in May. She gave the date of their divorce as December 1, 2019, and claimed “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the breakup.
Bertinelli’s brother introduced them in 2004, and they dated for six years before Vitale proposed. By January 2011, the pair were married, and Bertinelli claimed she was thrilled to be able to call Vitale her husband. This bliss, however, did not endure.
Bertinelli filed for a formal separation from Vitale in November 2021, and when her divorce was finalized, she expressed her joy at being blissfully divorced after everything she had gone through.
She is now working on recovering from her connection with what she refers to as a narcissist, which caused her so much pain, through a variety of means. Rolfing, a vigorous manipulation of the body’s connective tissue, is one of these. Bertinelli explained this approach as follows:
“It’s so painful, but there’s a release that happens that’s really helpful.”
Bertinelli took to Twitter on the day her divorce was finalized in November of last year to broadcast a video of herself with the words “happily divorced” scrawled across the screen, stating it was the second-best day of her life.
In the video, she stated that she was at the airport on her way to visit her son, Wolf, when her lawyer called to inform her that all of the paperwork had been completed. She was finally divorced, which made her quite pleased.
Bertinelli, on the other hand, did not escape untouched. Aside from the emotional and mental scars inflicted by the marriage, Bertinelli was also forced to pay Vitale a $2.2 million settlement despite the fact that they had signed a prenuptial agreement.
