Shania Twain is known for her striking appearances and daring design choices, so it’s no wonder that her costume at the Lytham Festival earlier this month drew notice from the crowd.
On July 4, Twain, aged 58, hit the stage at the Lytham Festival in the United Kingdom, dazzling the assembled audience and demonstrating that she still has the flair and ability to captivate a crowd.
Following her participation, the Canadian singer-songwriter posted a six-image carousel to her Instagram account, captioned with: “Okay, so you are Ken? That impressed me! For those who missed my presentation last night, meet Ken! Over the years, he has traversed the world to watch me play, and I was able to reciprocate by flying to Lytham. This time, he only needed to take the bus to my concert!
Twain performed with an orange puffer jacket and black cowboy hat. Her legs, however, caught the most attention, flaunted beneath a pair of black fishnet stockings.
The country singer’s daring ensemble elicited a response from fans online, many of whom were divided on whether Twain’s look was a success.
“I believe most ladies would want to look that nice at 58.” Shania is an incredibly talented performer and a beautiful lady,” one fan remarked.
“We adore you❤️🙌,” said another.
A third wrote, “Looking amazing.”
However, several criticized Shania’s dress choices.
One Instagram user asked, “What happened to your legs? Why are they so thin?”
“No shape anymore, no curves, stick legs,” said the second.
A third critical fan asked, “What is she wearing? Is it underwear? Quite tasteless. Why is there such a strong demand for attention?” She was never like this before.”
A fourth just urged the performer to “put some clothes on.”
Regardless of what some said online, Twain’s participation at the Lytham Festival seemed to have been a huge success. One noted memorable moment was her performance of her famous song That Don’t Impress Me Much, which has had about 196 million internet plays.
The 58-year-old concluded the evening with Man! I Feel Like A Woman!, another of her most popular tunes.
