Goran Surchi, a farmer from Iraq, was startled to hear meows emanating from his chicken coop, fearing that his hens might be in peril. Rushing to their aid, he was relieved to find that they were not in any danger at all. Instead, he was met with a heartwarming sight.
Following the source of the meows, Goran was astonished to find three tiny kittens nestled beneath one of the hens. “To my surprise, there were three beautiful kittens there,” Goran shared with Bored Panda.
Further investigation revealed that these kittens were orphaned, their mother tragically lost to drowning in a nearby lake. In their time of need, they found an unlikely but nurturing caregiver in the form of the chicken, who embraced them as if they were her own chicks, providing warmth and protection.
“It’s incredible how our chicken seemed to understand the situation and took it upon herself to care for the kittens,” Goran marveled.
