Fiona Phillips, a former television personality, made a rare public appearance this weekend in a video shared to her husband’s social media account.
The 64-year-old presenter thanked fans of her recently published Alzheimer’s memoir while enjoying an ice lolly in a London park.
Phillips communicated a simple message in a little video posted on her partner Martin Frizell’s Instagram: “Hello! Thank you for reading my book. That was very excellent of you. I hope you like it. Okay, goodbye!”
Frizell, who quit as This Morning editor earlier in 2025, posted the video with a message detailing their afternoon stroll.
Phillips was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease in 2022; however, she did not publicly announce this until the following year.

The former GMTV anchor had been experiencing cognitive issues and anxiety for months, which she originally attributed to menopause.
Her memoir, Remember When: My Life with Alzheimer’s, details her experiences with the disease.
The book was written in partnership with her spouse, the 66-year-old former This Morning editor and writer Alison Phillips.
Phillips’ parents both died from Alzheimer’s disease, and she inherited the ailment. The narrative attempts to raise public awareness of the sickness and offer consolation to those in similar situations.
Frizell recently appeared on This Morning to promote his biography, but Phillips was unable to join him owing to her health.
He told broadcasters Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond, “She’s got bad depression because she wants to work; she’d love to be here, but she’s not well enough today to come and talk to you.”
Phillips started writing the novel as a kind of therapy. “It started when we realized it had Alzheimer’s. “It was to give her a purpose, something to do,” Frizell said during the show.
The disease had hampered his wife’s busy lifestyle, which he characterized as “a bubbly, smart, fearless, very modern woman.”
The Instagram post received considerable praise from TV stars and members of the public. Susanna Reid, presenter of Good Morning Britain, said, “Loads of love to you both.”
Davina McCall voiced her excitement upon meeting Phillips, writing, “Oh Fiona!!! It’s fantastic to see your face! We have missed you! I and Michael are sending you lots of love!!!”

Alice Beer greeted the couple this morning, saying, “Congratulations to you both on getting the words on the page.” I believe you will greatly benefit many others in a similar circumstance.”
Trisha Goddard, grappling with her own health challenges after her cancer diagnosis, sent a heartfelt message to Fiona.
You were so kind when you came to my house in Norfolk for my first interview after my 2008 breast cancer diagnosis. You are more than just a colleague. You are truly a wonderful, talented, and gorgeous individual! And you’re quite excellent, Martin!”
Anna Williamson from Celebs Go Dating added, “I’m sending Fiona so much love.”
“She really looked out for me in my GMTV days; my telly mum and I will never forget how she comforted me when I was going through a tough time in my relationship.”
