George Clooney’s wife opens up about their twins, who have “the coolest Dad on Earth”

Except for a brief marriage to actress Talia Balsam in his adolescence, George Clooney was the poster child for Hollywood’s everlasting bachelor.

Reporting on his hookups with models and one memorable flirtation with a professional wrestler, tabloid reporters sold millions of copies of their rags.

All of that changed in July 2013, when he met Amal Alamuddin, a human rights activist 17 years his junior, in Lake Como, Italy, where he was staying.

The Academy Award-winning actor felt the British legal genius was attractive, humorous, and clever, but he was afraid she would think him “too old” for her.

The two began an online pen pal connection, largely discussing data about their lifestyles. “Over time, it became clear we were more than just friends,” George told The Hollywood Reporter in a 2017 feature.

Their first date took place at the famed Abbey Road Studios, where he was working on the “Monuments Men” score. After that, the paparazzi descended on their dinner, but she “handled it like a champ,” the Hollywood star boasted.

The couple’s love grew swiftly, with the couple spending Christmas in Cabo San Lucas and traveling on safari in Kenya, where they stayed at Giraffe Manor. A giraffe is Almal’s favorite animal.

In February 2014, the “ER” star showed a buddy a photo of the lawyer with the giraffes and exclaimed, “I think I’m going to ask her to marry me,” and soon began planning the proposal.

On the evening of April 28, 2014, George made Almal “pasta of some form” during her visit to the United States. He proposed over champagne, with a carefully selected mix of his late aunt Rosemary Clooney’s songs playing in the background. He related: And she just stared at the ring, saying, ‘Oh, my God.'” It took me 20 minutes on my knee, waiting for her to say yes since she was so surprised.”

George’s main reservation about his paramour’s delayed response was that she could have believed “it was too soon.” They’d only been together for six months.

He never doubted that they were the “right team” and that they had been happy together from the start. “I’m sorry I was 50-something when it happened,” the celebrity reflected, “but only because I could have spent even more time with her.”

Only after their September 2014 wedding in Venice with 100 of their closest friends and family did the newlyweds consider the possibility of having children. George characterized their attitudes as follows: After the wedding, Amal and I were talking, and we just felt like we’d gotten very lucky, both of us, and we should share our good fortune.” It would appear self-centered to have something all to ourselves.”

A London doctor confirmed the couple’s pregnancy—with twins—not long after their wedding. Her husband, who is also a first-time mom, verified that the first-time mother in her late thirties conceived spontaneously without the need for reproductive medications.

Amal Clooney gave birth to Alexander and Ella Clooney in the early hours of June 6, 2017. The twins were born two minutes apart at St. Mary’s Hospital in London at 12:54 p.m. and 12:56 p.m.

George revealed in a profile only three months after the birth of his twins that he and Amal were both “unrested,” she more so than he. “But,” he added, I’m a very good diaper guy, which I didn’t realize I was.”

After George was honored at the Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, the discreet couple provided occasional updates about their six-year-olds. When asked if his children think their father is the “coolest dad on the planet,” Almal said yes, adding: Everything except the weather, they believe Papa can fix.” And the most amusing guy they’ve ever met.”

The high-powered litigator donated her star power to the We Choose Earth Mundial Conference in Madrid, Spain, on Thursday, June 22, 2023. The event seeks to bring together thoughtful individuals in order to stimulate change toward a more sustainable future. She stated:

“As a mother of six-year-old twins, I am extremely thankful to all of those people who make it their mission to build a world that is safe and healthy for future generations.”

Amal went on to say that as a human rights lawyer, her goal is to ask, “What kind of world do we want to live in, and how should we treat the people on our planet?” But, of course,” she continued:

“These goals are intertwined.”

Amal Clooney donned a one-shouldered yellow Saturn jumpsuit with metallic shoes, and her long brown locks were casually parted at the sides. She was photographed on the streets of Madrid with a little black leather purse.

George Clooney was not present at the occasion since he is in the United States producing “Wolves,” a picture by filmmaker Jon Watts, alongside his friend and frequent partner Brad Pitt.

Amal and her husband attended The Prince’s Trust Awards in London last month. Over the years, the power couple has been active in a variety of worthwhile projects, both individually and collectively.

George has given away a significant chunk of the $200 million windfall he received from the sale of his investment in Casamigos Tequila, which he co-founded with Mike Meldman and Randall Gerber.

According to a 2017 entertainment report, the Clooneys gave the Southern Poverty Law Center a $1 million contribution that year.

The generous couple promised to donate $20 million from Casamigos Tequila sales to their organization. The funds will be used for a variety of purposes, including education and refugee housing.
