Slash revealed on his Instagram page that Lucy-Bleu Knight died in Los Angeles on July 19.
Lucy-Bleu was born in 1998 to Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight; Meegan and Slash began dating in 1989.
The couple reconciled in 2015, with Slash treating Lucy-Bleu as if she were one of his children.
The announcement read: “Lucy-Bleu Knight (December 6, 1998), cherished daughter of Meegan Hodges and Mark Knight, stepdaughter of Samantha Somers Knight and Slash, sister of Scarlet Knight, stepsister of London and Cash Hudson, died quietly on July 19, 2024, in Los Angeles, CA.
“Lucy-Bleu was an incredibly talented artist, a passionate dreamer, and a charming, lovable, sweet soul.”
The statement continued: “The family asks for privacy at this time and requests that social media speculation be kept to a minimum as they grieve and process this devastating loss.”
Many individuals expressed condolences and support following the announcement.
Among them was Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, who simply commented, “Oh man, god bless.”
Another individual shared sorrow and condolences, writing: “This is sad. I cannot imagine what you’re going through right now.
“Slash, I’m sending so much love to you, Meegan, and the rest of your family. I will keep you all in my thoughts.
Someone commented, “I’m devastated for your loss; Lucy was such an excellent artist and so lovely.
“I adored her tattoo art; it was so distinctive. “The world is a sadder place without her.”
Another person said, “All my condolences; we’re all so sorry for this devastating loss.” We extend our deepest sympathies to you and your family.
Author Susan Holmes McKagan also expressed her sorrow, writing, “Words cannot describe our heartfelt sadness and sympathies.” I love you all so much.”
The message did not specify Lucy-Bleu’s cause of death and advised people not to engage in speculation while grieving.
According to LinkedIn, Lucy Bleu was not only a great tattoo artist but also the day-to-day manager at Electric Lady Management.
On July 21, Slash also stated that he would be canceling certain dates from his next tour.
A statement read: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. tour regretfully needs to cancel the following shows. We will provide refunds at the time of purchase.
