Here’s how Kelly Clarkson responded to her employees’ rumors about a toxic workplace…

Kelly Clarkson has replied to claims that her talk show is a poisonous environment.

Rolling Stone released an article on Friday revealing charges made by 11 current and former employees of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” that they were underpaid and overworked behind the scenes.

Several sources in the report, which did not name any employees, stated that Clarkson was unaware of the workplace difficulties. Clarkson and “The Kelly Clarkson Show” representatives did not immediately reply to Insider’s request for comment.

Clarkson appeared to clarify on Instagram on Saturday that the piece was the first time she’d heard about employees’ issues.

“In my 20 years in the entertainment industry, I’ve always led with my heart and what I believed to be right,” she said. “I love my team at ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ and learning that anyone on the show is feeling unheard or disrespected is unacceptable.”

“I have always been, and will continue to be, committed to creating and maintaining a safe and healthy environment at ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,” she continued.

According to IMDB, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” debuted on NBC in 2019 and was nominated for “Best Talk Show” at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards. Variety announced in May that filming would transfer from Los Angeles to New York City for the fifth season, which would debut in the autumn.

Clarkson made it plain in her statement that she wanted to guarantee that the show’s move would encourage a healthier working atmosphere.

“As we prepare to relocate to the east coast, I am more committed than ever to ensuring that not only our moving team but also our new time in New York is comprised of the best and kindest in the business,” she wrote.

“Part of that build will include leadership training for all of the senior staff, including myself,” Clarkson explained. “There is always room for growth and ensuring that we are all being or becoming the best versions of ourselves in any business, especially when it comes to leadership, to ensure that any notion of toxicity is eradicated.”

A spokeswoman for NBCUniversal told Entertainment Tonight that the company takes “workplace complaints very seriously, and to insinuate otherwise is untrue.”

“When issues are reported, they are promptly reviewed, investigated, and acted upon as appropriate,” the representative continued. “‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ strives to create a safe, respectful, and equitable workplace that fosters an inclusive and creative culture.”
