There are never dull moments at work!
According to ABC affiliate WSYX, Myles Harris, who typically covers news in his hometown of Columbus, Ohio, was on a field reporting assignment for the station on Tuesday when his mother arrived unexpectedly and surprised him.
Harris’ major focus is on local news in Columbus, Ohio.
Fortunately, there was no interruption to the recording while the camera was rolling.
The reporter’s Instagram account released a video of the humorous exchange, in which Harris recognizes his mother before she appears onscreen.
The video had received over half a million views as of Wednesday afternoon.
He points with his arms and tells the videographer, “That’s my mom; hold on,” as she approaches them.
DeAngelo Byrd, the cameraman, laughs in the background as his mother cries out from the car, “Hi, baby!”
Harris jokingly alludes to his mother interrupting him, telling her that she may say hello for a moment, but he is a bit focused right now.
“I’m trying to work right now, and you’re over here phoning my phone,” he tells the individual who is calling him.
“Hello, my name is DeAngelo; please feel free to say hello. Also, don’t disrupt the flow of traffic just because cars are behind you.”
“Alright,” she says, then kisses her child before getting into her car and driving away.
Harris brushed it off, saying that his mother’s conduct in this scenario was not unusual.
The video’s caption on social media said, “Typical Sandi.”
Furthermore, Byrd shared the video on all of his social media sites, describing it as “the best moment of 2022.”
In his diary, Byrd wrote, “What a privilege it is to enjoy such a beautiful occasion.” “I’m happy that I was able to catch this and that Mama Sandi came by to offer her love! The mother of @mylestharris is incredibly special.”
