Homeless man went to a restaurant to beg for a job, but he wasn’t expecting to get such a response

The guy entered the first eatery he came across, hoping for at least a one-time salary. However, this unforeseen action had a significant impact on his life. Taylor Thompson, from Alabama, graduated with “excellent” honors and went on to college to study engineering and criminal justice. But I had to withdraw from school when the 28-year-old man’s family difficulties began.

Taylor thereafter lived with his parents, a metallurgist and a nurse, respectively. The ties within the family were strained. Every day, my parents battled and finally divorced. Taylor’s mental condition and reliance on psychotropic medications deteriorated after the divorce. Things were getting worse. One day, something dreadful occurred. The guy was shocked with a stun gun and transported to a mental center by police on his way home from college.

The lady barely had 15 minutes with the infant before giving him up for adoption. She didn’t think she’d ever see her kid again. However, an unexpected phone call from a stranger altered everything.

Taylor didn’t have time to think about anything. He was scared and ashamed. Hospital physicians diagnosed him with schizophrenia. Following his release, there were numerous additional arrests. Taylor’s circumstances worsened with each of them, despite the fact that he did not commit big crimes, break laws, or steal anything. The guy became homeless not long after. He lived in a store tent for five months, and it was not living but existence.

But everything changed when he met Brenda Goodhue at Brewha’s Tavern. Taylor was lingering at the restaurant’s doorway when the owner, a part-time mother of three children and grandmother with 13 grandkids and two great-grandchildren, saw her. He asked for a job, which startled her since she figured he was just another homeless guy asking for food.

Brenda first offered Taylor money to go to a thrift shop and purchase new clothing since he instilled confidence in her. He obeyed all orders and returned clean and well-dressed. Brenda, a fervent Christian, thought Taylor had visited her business for a purpose. She realized he needed another opportunity and was willing to help. Something drove her to depart from the principles since she had never before provided such an opportunity to anyone.

Taylor proved to be, as she put it, “a jack of all trades.” He took on any endeavor, and it all came together in the end. Soon later, the town’s citizens learned about Brenda’s new employee, and they wanted to assist him in getting back on his feet. Caring people set up a Facebook fundraiser for Taylor. The initial aim of $250, which would have paid a week’s rent for a room, was more than 10 times surpassed. Taylor will be able to live on this money until he finds a permanent home.

This chance means a lot to the gentleman, who, among other things, has to struggle with bipolar illness indications. He meditates, eats properly, and seeks to reclaim control of his life. Taylor plans to join the US Navy as an engineer after graduating from the University of South Alabama. “Everyone has ups and downs,” Brenda explains, “and each of us needs a helping hand and a second chance from time to time.” “So, before you dismiss someone, learn more about him, and only then draw conclusions.”
