In Samut Prakan, Thailand, a family had a terrifying encounter with a 12-foot python that emerged from their toilet on March 17. The incident unfolded when housewife Suwi Paramas entered the restroom and was shocked to find the massive snake emerging from the toilet. In a state of fear, she ran out of the room, calling for help from her husband and brother-in-law.
Realizing the need for professional assistance, the family called a wildlife crew to handle the situation. Video footage captured the wildlife crew using specialized tools to secure the snake. Despite initial attempts to extract the python by squeezing it, the situation proved challenging. The snake was stuck in the u-bend, a bent section of plumbing in the toilet.

To safely remove the snake, the wildlife crew decided to break the porcelain basin with the family’s consent. However, due to the snake’s distended stomach, a straight-line extraction was not possible. The crew had to disassemble the pipework and rescue the snake from the opposite side, ensuring the safety of both the snake and the plumbing system.
The family expressed relief that the situation was handled professionally and without injuries. The snake was safely removed and prepared for release back into its natural habitat.

This incident serves as a reminder to take precautions to prevent snake encounters in homes, especially in regions where snakes are prevalent. While such occurrences are rare, they can be startling, emphasizing the importance of remaining vigilant in areas where snakes may seek refuge, such as bathrooms.
