Hugh Jackman takes a scathing shot at co-star Ryan Reynolds after exposing details from filming Deadpool and Wolverine…

Hugh Jackman has slammed co-star Ryan Reynolds after discussing what happened during the filming of Deadpool & Wolverine.

Jackman and Reynolds have the type of connection that most of us can only wish for, but in a recent interview, a video of which was acquired by DailyMail.com, Jackman said that, while he enjoyed filming the picture with his chum, he had ‘one gripe’ about the opener.

Speaking at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall, Jackman said that, while he and Reynolds were together for the majority of the film, there was one sequence at the beginning where Jackman did not appear.

“Don’t tell Ryan,” he said.

“That’s great; I don’t have to be in every scene in the movie. But Ryan is a writer. And when I look over the screenplay, I notice that the part I’m not in is the opening sequence, which is a dance routine to an NSYNC song by Ryan.

“I feel like the only scene I’m not in involves dance.” Ryan is incredibly good, but what about dancing?”

Jackson then quipped that he wouldn’t be attempting to recreate Reynolds’ dancing double, alleging that the actor did not perform his own dancing in the picture.

“There is no way I would try and match Ryan’s dance double, Nick Pauley… because the guy’s like 25 years old,” he joked.

During his presentation, Jackman surprised the audience by doing ‘the dance that got away’ with his trainer, Beth Lewis.

Of course, it appears Jackman was kidding about Reynolds, especially because the two have long been close pals.

Last year, the couple discussed their strong bond in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Reynolds stated, “I would say that [ours] is like any successful and working relationship: two people are rooting for each other.”

“I am constantly pulling for Hugh to score and win. I also understand the endless nuances of his heart, intellect, and who he is.

“I can say first-hand that he’s a person who’s not just worth rooting for; he’s somebody who’s impossible not to root for.”

Despite their great collaboration, the two have previously stated that Deadpool & Wolverine almost did not happen.

In a recent Vanity Fair interview, Shawn Levy, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman stated that the picture almost didn’t happen.

While brainstorming ideas for the third Deadpool film, the first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Reynolds encountered a roadblock.

Shawn Levy stated, “We honestly struggled to develop a plot that felt unique and not reminiscent of the previous two Deadpool films.

“It has to be worthy of the first Deadpool installment in the MCU but still feel grounded since this is an earthbound, gritty, realistic superhero series.

“Ryan and I were about to tell Kevin, ‘You know what? Maybe this is not the perfect time because we aren’t coming up with a tale.

“And that is the moment when Ryan’s phone rang, and it was Hugh calling from his car.”
