Tom Cruise and Sofia Vergara were known to paint the town red while they were together. However, it ended soon after, with Cruise marrying Katie Holmes and Vergara marrying Joe Manganiello.

However, it appears that both Cruise and Vergara are currently single. But Tom Cruise appears to want to change that for both of them.

Tom Cruise was famous for dating, marrying, and then divorcing Katie Holmes. But before that love affair, he was dating someone else whom many people may not have known as well at the time: Sofia Vergara.

They apparently had a short-term affair in 2005 before splitting up and meeting and marrying their future husbands. In 2015, Vergara married Joe Manganiello, and in 2006, Tom Cruise married Katie Holmes.

While Cruise and Holmes divorced in 2012, Joe Manganiello and Sofia Vergara only announced their divorce last month. Both Cruise and Vergara appear to be single again at the same moment.

According to a source close to Tom, “They do have that history already, even if it was more of a brief dalliance than a fully-fledged romance.”

According to the insider, the pair “had a special time together, partying in the Hollywood Hills and having a blast. “Sofia wasn’t really giving out the signals back then that she wanted anything long-term,” the insider noted, “so it petered out in a totally amicable fashion, and they remained friends.”

The romance ended, and Cruise married Holmes the following year; the two had a daughter, Suri Cruise, from their 6-year marriage.

The insider claims that even while married, the action star never quite got over Vergara. According to the source, Sofia “checks almost every box for Tom.”

While Tom Cruise appears to be ready to date, Vergara appears to want to take her time. According to sources, the actress is “going to let her hair down and party for a while,” and she wants to date again “once the divorce is finalized.”

Earlier this year, it was claimed that Cruise was interested in dating Shakira as well, following the news of her divorce from Gerard Piqué in June 2022. After 11 years together, she and Piqué divorced.
