Internet is full of rumors about Johnny Depp and 20-year-old Jenna Ortega’s romantic relationship

According to recent online rumors, the teenage actress in Netflix’s Wednesday has been seeing the actor, who is 40 years her senior.

According to celebrity rumor website Deuxmoi, the two were spotted together.

Many web users speculated that the performers were merely working on Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice 2 together, whereas some believed they were an item.

Ortega sprang to fame last year with the premiere of the Netflix Addams Family spin-off series, having begun as a child performer in Jane the Virgin as young Jane.

The actress is also renowned for her roles in Scream VI, X, and Yes Day.

Meanwhile, Depp is a 60-year-old actor who has appeared in films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Edward Scissorhands, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Ortega recently criticized the ludicrous relationship allegations, even denying ever meeting Depp.

“This is so ridiculous, I can’t even laugh,” she remarked on her Instagram Story.

“I have never met or worked with Johnny Depp. Please quit spreading misinformation and leave us alone.”

Soon after, the Jack Sparrow actor’s representatives denied the reports.

According to NME, “Mr. Depp has no personal or professional relationship with Ms. Ortega. He’s never met or spoken with her.

“He is not involved in any project with her and has no plans to be. He is outraged by these slanderous and vicious rumors designed to destroy his reputation and career.”

Not only is there evidence that he isn’t dating the young actor, but it also appears like Depp will not be appearing in the forthcoming Tim Burton film.

It is, however, confirmed to feature Ortega opposite Catherine O’Hara, Winona Ryder, and Michael Keaton, and is set to hit theaters in 2024.

These relationship allegations surfaced after Ortega discussed the impact social media trolls have had on her.

The actress spoke openly to Elle Fanning about the poison of internet abuse as part of Variety’s Actors-on-Actors segment.

“Social media, what it does to anyone our age, is such a comparing game,” Ortega started.

“It has an impact on bandwagon mentality. It’s quite manipulative.”

She stated that while she wants to convey her ‘deadpan’ comedy online, she is wary of what she posts due to internet trolls.

Ortega further stated that the more prominent she has gotten since the publication of Wednesday, the more trolling she has received.

“They see your vulnerability and twist it in ways that you don’t always expect,” she sobbed.

“It’s quite bizarre. I apologize; I didn’t mean to do this.

“It’s such a difficult thing to balance. Because how can you be truthful without endangering your own health and safety? It’s all too easy to feel out of control.”
