Jamie Lee Curtis left the Oscars early because of something many people can relate to…

The 96th edition of the Academy Awards has come to a close, offering a memorable show with various highlights. While lacking the drama of previous years, such as the Will Smith and Chris Rock incident, the 2024 Oscars still delivered entertainment, featuring moments like John Cena’s on-stage nudity and Al Pacino’s chaotic slip-up.

Hollywood’s renowned faces gathered at the Dolby Theatre for the event, including Jamie Lee Curtis, who won Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the previous Oscars for “Everything Everywhere All At Once.” This year, she returned to present the award but left early due to a fast-food craving, sharing her departure on Instagram after a stop at In-N-Out Burger.

Despite her brief presence, Curtis made a bold statement on the red carpet with her outfit—a long-sleeved black gown by Dolce and Gabbana. She further explained the significance of her ensemble, featuring a gold cuff with a diamond-encrusted replica of the Winged Victory of Samothrace, an ancient statue that inspired jewelry designer Cathy Waterman during her teenage years.

Curtis shared on Instagram: “The statue was worshiped in a temple built for her. Cathy Waterman first saw her at the top of the stairs at the Louvre when she was a teenager, and it did something remarkable for her in that moment. It showed her that there was a huge unknown world out there and led her to a study of ancient history. What an inspiration she’s been for Cathy, and it’s my great honor to wear her to the Oscars on my wrist!”
