Jennifer Aniston shares interesting story about her character in Friends, Rachel Green

Friends and fans will recall that Rachel Green began her career as a waitress at the famed Central Perk coffee shop before earning her dream job at Ralph Lauren. Jennifer Aniston, who played the iconic character, had a very similar career path to Rachel prior to starring in the blockbuster series.

In an interview with InStyle in 2019, the Morning Show host spoke up about her life after Friends, saying that, like Rachel Green, she had previously worked as a waitress in New York. “I was such a grownup by then,” Aniston said. “I had relocated away from home.” I’d been in six unsuccessful television series. I waited in New York for years before I received anything.”

But that wasn’t her only work before Friends. The actress went on to say that she used to work as a telemarketer in the Poconos, selling timeshares. “I didn’t make one sale,” she continued. “I was awful at it.” ‘Why do we have to call people at dinnertime?'” Aniston used to “cut hair for 10 bucks a head” in junior high. “I cut my father’s hair while he was on Days of Our Lives.” But, 15 years ago, he acknowledged to me that he would go in and have the hairdresser on stage clean it up.”

Aniston has previously revealed that she once stole a Monica Geller dress from co-star Courteney Cox’s dressing room, revealed how she was originally cast in the hit ’90s sitcom, and recalled the first major purchase she made with her Friends paycheck, which she still regrets to this day.
