Jennifer Lawrence opens up about filming with Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothée Chalamet, which shocks fans

While many would jump at the chance to hang out with Leonardo DiCaprio and Timothée Chalamet, Jennifer Lawrence has described her experience filming with the A-listers as ‘absolute misery’.

In 2021, the trio, along with Jonah Hill and Meryl Streep, starred in Adam McKay’s Netflix hit ‘Don’t Look Up’, a comedy about a giant meteor heading towards Earth. However, Lawrence found the experience far from enjoyable.

Arriving on Netflix in December 2021, as Covid-19 restrictions were easing, it marked the first time some of the stars had contact with other humans in a while, leading to a challenging dynamic on set.

During an appearance on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’, Lawrence recounted a particularly trying day while filming a scene with Chalamet and DiCaprio in a car, describing it as the ‘most annoying day of [her] life’. She mentioned feeling driven crazy by their behavior, with Chalamet excited to be out and DiCaprio offering commentary on the song playing in the car.

Although Lawrence clarified that both actors are ‘very nice’, she couldn’t shake the memory of that day’s frustration.

But DiCaprio and Chalamet weren’t the only ones Lawrence found challenging to work with. She also revealed to Vanity Fair that Hill made filming difficult due to his comedic mastery, often causing her to ruin takes by laughing.

Despite the challenges, Lawrence admitted to being starstruck on set, especially with appearances from Mark Rylance, Ariana Grande, Cate Blanchett, and Chris Evans. She humorously acknowledged feeling out of place among such esteemed company, jokingly referring to herself as ‘garbage’ in comparison.
