John Schneider couldn’t hold back his tears while speaking about his life after his wife’s tragic death

John Schneider, who played Bo Duke in “The Dukes of Hazzard” from 1975 until 1985, has married three times. When he married his longtime girlfriend, Alicia Allain, he tried love again.

He was still going through a five-year divorce from his second marriage to his then-estranged wife, Elvira “Elly” Schneider; therefore, the couple’s marriage had not yet been formally recognized at the time.

On September 25, 2019, John and Allain said “I do” in a private ceremony held in the barn of John Schneider Studios in Holden, Louisiana. They allegedly exchanged vows “before God” and intended to make the union public when the divorce was finalized.

At the time, the happy bride said, “This has been a wonderful celebration, a sanctuary of love.” While adding, “Happy is too small of a word,” the groom

Sadly, Allain passed suddenly at age 53 in February 2023 after just three years of marriage. When she passed away, her family was there to comfort her. Her devoted husband said on Facebook a day after the heartbreaking news arrived, “My beautiful Smile is pain-free, living in her new body alongside Jesus.”

The well-known celebrity has previously discussed Allain’s struggle with breast cancer. Additionally, she disclosed that she had been “diagnosed with stage 4 HER2-negative cancer.”

John made his first public appearance after Allain’s loss six months later, and in a July 2023 video interview, he discussed losing her. He was adamant that her passing would result in “remarkable, great things.”

John admitted he would never get over the loss of his late wife but that he would now commit himself to helping people who were grieving.

John, a country music performer as well, disclosed that writing a new album, “We Are Still Us,” in “honor” of his cherished spouse was a crucial step in his healing journey.

She spoke candidly about the actor’s grief process while they were both attending the Drinks With Dee Dee Sorvino cabaret concert in Hollywood. He went to Sorvino’s side because she had also recently lost her husband, Paul Sorvino.

The fact that John and Allain used to write songs together caused him to experience a range of emotions when he was working on his most recent album. But he promised to create a memorial to their mutual love of music.

The TV actor revealed that he and the actress have previously worked together on films, which he found to be “very helpful.” Since she is no longer there, he is making an effort to pay tribute to her via art.

John enthusiastically announced that he has finished a new album about Allain, which he considers to be his finest to date. The song’s name is “We’re Still Us.” The veteran said that working on this assignment by himself without his wife still hurts.

Allain reportedly fought cancer for four years despite being given five years to live. The spouse of the famous actress frequently writes her messages and notes on the internet. John uttered:

“I write a letter to heaven every day.”

John had been married to his second wife, Elvira, for 21 years before meeting Allain. They were married in 1993. But she announced her intention to be divorced in November 2014, claiming irreconcilable differences.

Daughters Karis and Leah and son Chasen Schneider are the three adult children that John and Elvira have together. The father of three opened up in a November 2018 interview about his breakup with their mother.

“My divorce has been going on for four years now, and it’s dreadful. The parent expressed worry, saying, “The worst part about it is that it’s wedged itself in between me and my three adult children.

He stated that he hoped for greater communication with his children eventually while dating Allain, adding that he wished to make them “proud.”

John revealed that he was Karis’s real father in a March 2012 interview. He also said that he had discovered Elvira with Mandy, Leah, and Chasen. The devoted father, whose first wife was television star Tawny Little, declared, “We immediately became a family because I wanted to be a dad. I wanted, wanted, wanted to be a dad.”
