Joules Smith, a 6-year-old TikTok star, passed away in her parents’ bed weeks after her last video…

The TikToker’s father conveyed the devastating news of her death, saying that he and her mother were by her side during her dying moments.

Joe Smith, the father of six-year-old Joules Smith, claimed his daughter died in the early hours of December 9, 2024. The father and his wife, Elisha Smith, had taken a sabbatical from social media to spend every moment with Joules before her death.

Earlier this year, doctors diagnosed Joules with a deadly brain tumor called diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG). Joules received only nine months to live due to the incurable nature of this malignancy.

In a TikTok video, a grieving Joe revealed that she had succumbed to the sickness. “Our beautiful little dancing queen passed away,” he stated in the video, subtitled “We love you, our little dancing queen 💕.”

Joules died in her parents’ bed, surrounded by her loving mother and father. Joe is a proud father to Joules, whom he refers to as “an absolute inspiration to everyone.” The joy their daughter has brought to millions of others online comforts the TikToker’s parents.

Her father used TikTok to inform his fans that her diagnosis of a brain tumor had completely changed their lives. Joe explained that they observed a few unusual things about Joules and rushed her to the hospital, where physicians discovered a lump on her brain.

They instructed Joe and his wife to take their daughter to King’s College Hospital in London, where they learned that the lump on Joules’ brain was an aggressive type of cancer. This marked the beginning of Joules’ battle with an incurable and fatal childhood disease. Her parents had to accept the possibility that they would eventually lose their daughter.

Joe stated at the time that Joules would get therapy to alleviate her symptoms, but this would not prevent the inevitable. “She will start to deteriorate, and we have got to sit back and watch our beautiful, funny little girl fade away,” he said with a tear.

Joe characterized Joules as his best buddy and dancing partner, saying he couldn’t picture living without her. He promised to spend every moment with her and make sure she had the finest time of her life, which he kept until her death.

Following Joules’ diagnosis with DIPG, Kirk Norcross, a family friend, initiated a GoFundMe campaign. Kirk explained that the family has prioritized making Joules’ final days as wonderful as possible, putting their life on hold.

We created the page to provide support and lighten their burden during this challenging period. According to Kirk: “We do understand that times are hard, but anything will help. Any money that is raised on this page will go to the Smith family directly to make sure that they are coping and Joules has everything that she needs ❤️.”

The website raised more than $120,000, and Joe expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed. He was also grateful to everyone who shared films that raised awareness about children’s cancer after he revealed Joules’ brain tumor diagnosis on May 27.

TikTokers initiated an ongoing trend, “Dancing for Joules,” with the aim of raising awareness about children’s terminal diseases. Joe appealed to his admirers, urging them to continue dancing for Joules, as he knew she would still be dancing. Joules’ father also pledged to continue with this mission, even after his daughter’s death.

Joe had prepped his followers a little more than a month before Joules died, informing them that her medical specialists had told them she didn’t have much time left. “They gave us the possibility of weeks,” he said, “and we managed to give her the best five or six months she has ever had.” Unfortunately, our voyage will come to an end.

Joe has now expressed his appreciation to their fans, followers, friends, and close family members for their support during this tough time. “We couldn’t have done it without you,” he told me. He was grateful to the hospital personnel that cared for Joules, allowing them to have seven months of dancing, pleasure, and laughing despite the difficult diagnosis.

Joules’ mother, Elisha, has also thanked everyone who helped them over the seven arduous months. She shared an emotional tribute to her daughter on Instagram, saying, “We are so proud of your princess; you made this world a better place…” We are very heartbroken.

Elisha and her husband have extended an invitation to everyone to attend Joules’ funeral, scheduled for December 27 at The Garden of Eden Crematorium in Kent, England. Joe asked people to join the family in giving his daughter the greatest and finest send-off, saying Joules was the “bravest, kindest, and most beautiful little girl, and we miss her so much.”
