Kaley Cuoco pays heartfelt tribute to her late horse Bella, calling her “the horse of a lifetime”

There is nothing sadder than losing a cherished pet, no matter who you are. Even the most famous celebrities still grieve for their pets.

Now, a well-known animal rights activist is mourning the loss of her favorite horse and has shared a touching homage on social media.

On September 16, Big Bang Theory actor Kaley Cuoco posted on Instagram that one of her horses, Bella, had died. She posted some lovely images of the late horse and penned a heartfelt eulogy.

“Sometimes horses come into your life and actually change the way you perceive the world. “You were the horse of a lifetime, Si Bella,” Cuoco wrote.

“I can’t believe you are mine even now.” You taught me to soar and took me to places I believed could only be imagined. You definitely had the heart of a warrior until your final breath. You are deserving of all my love, thanks, and respect.”

While Cuoco is best recognized for her role as Penny on The Big Bang Theory and her Emmy-nominated work on The Flight Attendant, she is also known for her love of animals, particularly horses.

“I had a passion for horses, dogs, cats, and just about anything with fur or feathers, but especially horses,” she explained to Equestrian Life. “In every sense of the term, I’m an equestrian. I adore horses and spending time with them.”

“I started riding when I was a little girl, but I think I started taking it seriously around the age of 16, and I’ve been obsessed with the entire equestrian world ever since.”

Cuoco is married to equestrian Karl Cook, and the couple has several horses. Even as a Hollywood celebrity, Cuoco has maintained her enthusiasm for horseback riding.

“I have six horses, and they have been the biggest blessing in my life,” she told Jimmy Kimmel. “Horseback riding is what keeps me grounded, especially in this business. “I wouldn’t have a job without it.”

While she has a specific affinity for horses, Cuoco is an advocate for all animals. Her celebrity as an actress has been utilized to campaign for animal rights, speaking out against pet abandonment, Canadian seal hunting, and horse maltreatment. She is a member of the Humane Society of the United States and has advocated for the dog rescue organization Paw Works.

She also has a large number of pets, including multiple dogs and horses. “I’m not allowed to say how many I have because I’m afraid they’ll come knocking and say it’s an illegal amount,” she quipped in 2021 to Variety.

Cuoco has had to say goodbye to two of her favorite dogs this year. Cuoco also lost her rescue dog, Dump Truck, in May, in addition to Bella. Dump Truck had a difficult life until the actress took him in as a foster child in 2020, which developed into a permanent foster relationship. Cuoco complimented her dog for her dedication to helping her through “some of the hardest moments I’ve had in my life.”
