Farrah Fawcett was a young college beauty whom her parents had pushed into Hollywood when Lee Majors, an American actor, first met her. That incident inspired a popular love tale.
Lee Majors was born in Kentucky but lost both his parents before the age of two. He was able to complete college while playing football at Eastern Kentucky State College. Unfortunately, shoulder, knee, and recurring broken nose injuries ended his prospects of becoming a professional football player.

He moved from Kentucky to Los Angeles to work as a high school coach and in the leisure department. Some of his football pals, however, exposed him to the world of acting.
After studying and working in the film industry, Majors rose to prominence as the character Heath. On the iconic ABC network series “The Big Valley,” he played Barbara Stanwyck’s mischievous son.

The actor later starred in television episodes such as “Owen Marshall” and “The Men From Shiloh.” These performances led to his casting in the 1973 film “Million Dollar Man.”
Majors expressed his gratitude and honor at receiving the responsibility. The role catapulted him to such stardom that he could no longer attend clubs, as everyone wanted to arm wrestle with him.

Fawcett was born to a Corpus Christi oilfield contractor father and raised as a devout Catholic in Texas. At the University of Texas, she won the title of college beauty queen.
A PR agency noticed her image and invited her to Hollywood. Two years later, Fawcett’s parents drove her to Hollywood. She got modeling jobs and began making guest appearances in advertisements for items ranging from shampoo to toothpaste. When she arrived in Hollywood, a public relations representative for Lee Majors came across her photo. As a result, the actor left her a note in the rooming house where she was residing.
He called to invite Fawcett to dinner around 7:30 p.m., which apparently irritated her. Majors then phoned her to apologize for his audacity. When he came, Fawcett allegedly disintegrated into a thousand pieces. She fell in love with him at first glance. Majors escorted her to a disco, where she ordered Coke and Scotch.
She promptly excused herself to use the ladies’ restroom, cutting the date short. The following day, the actor sent her thirteen yellow flowers. Majors also said this of Fawcett:
“She’s so beautiful… she’s like a little girl.” “So cute, so beautiful inside…” Lee Majors married when he was 17 years old in Kentucky. The woman he married gave birth to a child named Lee Jr., but they divorced before he met Fawcett, who he married in 1973.
When they married, Majors played a bionic robot in “The Six Million Dollar Man.” Fawcett was his strongest backer.

She also modeled for companies like Ultra Brite, Noxzema, and Wella Balsam. One of the conditions of their marriage was that Fawcett had to arrive home from work promptly to prepare meals for him.
The couple resided in a magnificently decorated French mansion in Bel Air, just over the hill from Wilt Chamberlain. She also lovingly referred to her hubby as a “grump head.”
Lee Majors was apprehensive of Fawcett’s entry into the television industry, concerned about the people she would have to deal with. Fawcett stated she had the same doubts about him.
In 1976, Fawcett gained prominence after landing a role in the film “Charlie’s Angels.” The movie poster featuring Fawcett in a red one-piece swimming suit sold 12 million copies.
“Charlie’s Angels” elevated her to the status of superstar and sex symbol, beloved by both men and women alike. People all over the world replicated the “Farrah Do,” the hairdo she wore in the image. The film became a worldwide success, with Fawcett portraying an undercover crime-fighting agent with two other women. She and her husband, Majors, quickly found it difficult to avoid the paparazzi whenever they went out.
Fawcett announced her separation from Majors at the start of her countrywide tour to promote her upcoming film “Sunburn.”

The actress was 32 years old at the time, and after 11 years of marriage, she announced that she would be leaving the Bel Air estate they shared. She added that when she married Majors, his expectations for a wife included cleaning his house, cooking his meals, and being reliant.
She went on to say that she still enjoys cooking for him and cleaning his house, but she can no longer rely on him. The actress said she felt sorry for him since he was trying to be compassionate and protective. The fissures in their marriage were apparently caused by Fawcett’s unexpected prominence and professional responsibilities. Both had quit television at the height of their careers to produce films.
Fawcett quit the series “Charlie’s Angels” after barely a year, and the films Majors featured in following “The Six Million Dollar Man” did not perform well economically. Fans were furious with her after she left “Charlie’s Angels,” accusing her of betrayal. The film business stopped offering her jobs because they thought she was a sex symbol aspiring to be an actor.
She claimed that people attempted to make her feel terrible about it, but she refused to give up. She wanted to rely more on herself; thus, she relied less on her counsel and spouse.
The actress acknowledged that Majors thought she didn’t need him anymore, but that was not the case; she wanted their relationship to be different. They formalized their divorce in 1982, following their separation in 1979.

Following her divorce from Lee Majors, Fawcett began dating actor Ryan O’Neal, who appeared in the 1970 film “Love Story.”.
The couple spent two decades together and gave birth to a child named Redmond. Hollywood views their long-term romance, despite never marrying, as a success.
After spending 17 years together, they broke up in 1997 but reconciled four years later due to O’Neal’s cancer diagnosis. Fawcett stayed with him until his recovery, but she also suffered from cancer in 2006.
Tragically, Fawcett lost her mother in the same year she received her anal cancer diagnosis. The sickness was so uncommon at the time that it only struck roughly 5 Americans per year.
Doctor Lawrence Piro runs the Angeles Clinic and Research Institute, where she began therapy. Doctor Lawrence Piro did not cure her cancer, but he did treat it.
O’Neal moved in with Fawcett and accompanied her to Germany for severe cancer treatment. She died at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica, California, at the age of 62.
Majors issued a statement shortly after the news of her death surfaced, stating that he and his wife, Faith, were sorry to learn of Fawcett’s demise.

He added that she waged a valiant battle against a dreadful ailment and dubbed herself an angel of Earth. Majors also told People Magazine about their nuptials. He revealed that he selected her for the viral “Charlie’s Angels” poster shot.
The actor also showed a magazine photo from a 1977 cover of People Magazine. The shot shows him and Fawcett sprinting towards a camera.
Majors stated that he and Fawcett corresponded some time before her death. He added that their occupations, which required them both to work 14 hours every day, hampered their marriage.
He mentioned that he only had the opportunity to see her for two weeks last year. However, Majors expressed pride that he and his present wife had been married for more than two decades.
The actor, who was 84 years old at the time, portrayed Jeff Tracy in “Thunderbirds Are Go” because he enjoyed working.
