Lizzo addresses the use of Ozempic and discloses the ‘controversial’ facts of weight loss.

Lizzo has questioned if she used Ozempic as she discloses the ‘controversial’ truth behind her amazing weight reduction.

The ‘Juice’ hitmaker has lately shown off her substantially smaller physique but has not revealed how many pounds she has shed.

Still, Lizzo has been candid about her weight reduction quest, which began in 2023, and has documented her progress on social media for her followers.

In January, the singer announced that she had reached her ideal weight, proudly stating that she had not seen the number on the scale since 2014.

“Let this be a reminder that you can do everything you set your mind to. ‘Time for new goals!'” She wrote at the time.

In the spirit of honesty, the 37-year-old has opened up about how she lost weight on Trisha Paytas’ Just Trish podcast, including whether GLP-1 medicines were involved.

Last year, Lizzo denied being on a fat loss diet, posting on Instagram, “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.”

However, the Grammy winner admitted to Trish that she used Ozempic at first but stopped after discovering that the GLP-1 drug could not aid her in the long run.

“I’ve tried everything,” Lizzo revealed. “For me, it’s all about the science of calorie intake and expenditure.

“Ozempic works because you consume less food. That is it. It makes you feel full, so if you can do it on your own and achieve mind over matter, that’s the same thing.”

The ‘Truth Hurts’ singer then said what she discovered has genuinely benefited her: giving up her plant-based diet, which she maintained for a decade before becoming ‘completely vegan’ from 2020 to 2023.

Trisha acknowledged quitting the diet may be ‘controversial,’ but Lizzo explained, “When I was vegan, I ate many imitation meats. I ate a lot of bread. I ate a lot of rice.

“I had to eat a lot of it to stay full, but really I was consuming like 3,000 to 5,000 calories a day.”

She went on to remark that certain small dishes are typically high in calories, contain sugar, and include unusual ingredients.

“That negatively impacts your body in ways you may not even realize,” Lizzo concluded. “So for me, when I started eating whole foods and eating things like beef, chicken, and fish, I was actually full and not expanding my stomach by putting a lot of fake things in there that weren’t actually filling me up.”

Regarding the GLP-1, she stated that she does not consider individuals who use the medications to be ‘cheating,’ noting that it is not simple. It is a medication that can help someone with a problem they are having.

“I believe it is [critics’] way of being fatphobic to tell someone they are cheating by obtaining weight loss surgery.

“That sounds very hard, actually. Many people feel like they almost died on the table, and they got so sick after getting the weight loss surgery that it’s just not easy.”

Her comments come after Lizzo disclosed in January that she has lost 16 percent of her body fat and reduced her BMI by 10.5, telling Trish that she is happy with what she has accomplished.

“I feel like I worked extremely hard and was deliberate with what I accomplished with my physique.

“So when I get praises, I say, ‘Thanks, b***h.'” It feels like I genuinely appreciate the praise because I rely on it. I don’t take it strangely since I attempted to achieve this.”
