Macaulay Culkin has stated that he contemplated purchasing the legendary McCallister house from Home Alone, but if the deal went through, he had one condition.
Most people know Culkin from his role as Kevin McCallister in the 1990 classic Christmas film Home Alone.
It grossed over $476 million at the film office and was a global blockbuster hit as Kevin faced off against two foolish thieves, Harry and Marv (Daniel Stern and Joe Pesci), who wanted to steal everything valuable from their Chicago house.

Naturally, this happened when Kevin’s parents, Peter and Kate (John Heard and Catherine O’Hara), neglected to bring the child to Paris for the McCallister family’s Christmas celebration.
Following the commercial and cultural success of Home Alone, the band reunited in 1992 to release Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
In the sequel, Harry and Marv stumble with Kevin in New York City after he unintentionally boards the incorrect airline with his family on his way to Miami, Florida.
Culkin, 44, has stated that he contemplated purchasing the genuine McCallister mansion, which is in the upscale Chicago neighborhood of Winnetka, Illinois.
During December, the father of two toured the United States, doing Q&As at local Home Alone screenings.
We have sold out the events, and we strictly prohibit phones and video during the question-and-answer sessions.
The New York Times reported that Culkin expressed his interest in purchasing the mansion during a performance at Chicago’s Rosemont Theatre.

During the Q&A, Culkin stated that the purchase would have been ‘simply for giggles,’ with the audience applauding in appreciation.
Not moving into the house if his bid is accepted.
Instead, the 44-year-old stated that he would transform the residence into a movie fun house, where regular people could sled down the stairs like he did in the famed film.

Will it happen, however? It doesn’t seem likely.
“I have kids. “I’m busy, man,” he added, with his children still very young, born in 2021 and 2022.
Culkin’s theatrical run ended on December 15.
He isn’t the only McCallister brother getting busy this Christmas, as five of his on-screen siblings reunited last month in a move that left us all feeling a lot older.
