Madonna was left touch red-faced after fall during her concert

Confession time: I am not a pop star like Madonna, who has toured all around the world. Consequently, I can’t fully comprehend the pressure and preparations that go into delivering a flawless performance to thousands of fans who have paid to see you live.

However, I can imagine that falling over during a performance probably wasn’t part of the plan. Unfortunately, this unexpected situation occurred to the Queen of Pop during her rendition of ‘Open Your Heart’ at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on Sunday (February 18).

While not a brutal fall, it was too obvious to smoothly style out, despite Madonna’s best efforts. Seated on a chair on stage, meant to be pulled by one of her dancers, the mishap occurred when the dancer stumbled, bringing both of them to the ground.

True to her show-woman spirit, Madonna continued to perform, even smiling as she lay on the ground singing into the mic. Social media users weighed in on the moment, some finding the humor in it, while others praised Madonna for ensuring the show went on.

“You have to love her. Perfect response. Did she keep singing when she was down?” one user wrote.

“Stop Drop & Roll. Excellent recovery. Never stopped singing,” added another.

Some humorously commented, “This guy will never be remembered for anything other than the fact that he took down Madonna.”

Another supporter defended Madonna, stating, “Y’all need to leave Madonna alone. If you have her guts and grace at that age… she’s an American icon who’s been doing this for 40+ years, wasn’t her first fall.”

Indeed, this isn’t Madonna’s first fall on stage. Many will recall her viral fall at the 2015 Brit Awards when a tightly tied cape caused her to be pulled downstairs. Reflecting on that incident, Madonna said, “I could either be strangled or fall, and I chose to fall.”
