Daniel Stern, who played the legendary character Marv in Home Alone, spoke up about his current activities.
With his robbery success record so low, aided by one specific child named Kevin McCallister, it’s no wonder that one-half of Marv and Harry decided to give up.
Daniel Stern, who portrays Marv, told us about his journey into acting on his website, stating that as a child, he was a ‘poor student’ and ‘dropped out of high school’ at the age of 17 before moving to New York to become an actor.
At the age of 23, he married, had a child, and “clearly had to focus on [his] show business profession solely.”
Stern said, “I did a number of excellent movies, but there came a time when I missed being away from my family. I opted to spend less time abroad and more time at home with my family and other artistic interests.
“The result of that decision is that I have a wonderful family life and this body of work.”

His work is the result of him excelling in all aspects of creativity at school, including theatre, chorus, band, woodshed, metal shop, ceramics, and sculpting.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Stern discussed his desire to capture his new life on social media and why he enjoys producing so much.
He stated, “The social media thing is interesting because it’s much more intimate and much more me, and you know, I can do funny things on it.” We have pickers and growers, and we create jobs, which is wonderful to see. We donate a portion of our earnings to food banks and other charitable organizations, which contributes to a fulfilling life. However, I personally crave solitude. I simply require privacy, which I currently possess.
“And I enjoy creating, and they talk about creators on social media, which makes sense to me—I’ve made a book, a sculpture, a character, and a script. It’s amazing how people can create something from nothing, and watching artists on social media as they tell their stories is fascinating. I never thought anyone could achieve such feats, so I’m just going to contribute, stay healthy, share my knowledge with my grandchildren, and give back.
