An alleged bomb threat led to the evacuation of Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, from a beach in Mykonos, Greece.

Local news agencies Protothema and KNews reported that the Mykonos Police received an email at 11 p.m. local time on Saturday, July 13, alleging the placement of explosive devices at four popular tourist spots on the Greek island.

According to TikTok user Elena Casablanca Nyamwaya Odul, who witnessed the evacuation while dining at an adjacent venue and shared footage (below) of the couple waving as they left, two of the bomb threats reportedly occurred at Paraga Beach, where Matt, 53, and Luciana, 47, had been spending time at a beach club called Santana.

The Tiktoker, known on the app as Queen Casablanca, learned about the threat from locals after the event, she says PEOPLE.

Police were aware of the threats and instructed each targeted venue to turn down their music and leave immediately, according to both stations. According to reports, there were 4,000 visitors in the Paraga region at the time.

After the evacuation, officials verified that the warning was fake, according to KNews. According to the publication, Matt remained “composed and cooperative” during the evacuation procedure.

People contacted the Mykonos Police but did not immediately obtain a response.

Before the fright, Matt and Luciana were on a lovely family vacation in Greece.

On Wednesday, July 10, people spotted the 19-year-old married couple at the beach. They subsequently went on a walk, and Luciana expressed her feelings for her husband by patting his back in one picture.

Matt also went swimming and waded in the Aegean Sea, then played catch.

They have three kids together: Isabella, 16, Gia, 14, and Stella, 13. (Luciana is also a mother to Alexia, 24, from a previous marriage.)

Matt and Luciana adore Mykonos, and they were spotted in July on the same beach where the threat was made—a location reportedly linked to seafood restaurant Tasos Taverna.

The Bourne Identity star kissed his wife’s tummy as they enjoyed their time together in 2023. Then, in a romantic gesture, Luciana placed her arms over her husband’s shoulders.

Several of the couple’s celebrity friends, including Liam and Chris Hemsworth, whose wife, Elsa Pataky, is a close friend of Luciana, joined them at the beginning of their trip as they enjoyed their romantic retreat.
