Finding your love used to mean venturing out into the real world, but nowadays, the majority of individuals find their significant others via dating apps. Even renowned celebrities have to work hard to discover their true love. Maureen McCormick, 67, won her future husband over in church after meeting him at a concert.
Maureen McCormick’s most well-known role was Marcia on The Brady Bunch, which aired from 1969 to 1974. McCormick was born on August 5, 1956, and appeared in several Brady Bunch spin-offs after the series ended.

Despite her success on the sitcom, she experienced the most personal troubles in the years after the finale of The Brady Bunch. McCormick’s struggles with drug abuse, depression, and bulimia tarnished her image as an actor. She told People in 2016, “I’ve had a lot of difficult times, but I take all of those experiences and learn and grow from them.”
“I prayed to God for direction, went through and out of rehab, and received treatment in a mental health ward.”

The former child star met a man during a performance who she knew would become her husband while she struggled with a cocaine addiction and came to terms with the fact that her perfect performing career was not going as planned. According to McCormick’s memoirs, Here is the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice: “I turned around and saw this person behind me.”
I had never seen him before. He had chiseled features, an impressive build, and black hair. I stared deeply into his eyes and thought, “This is the man I’m going to marry.”

After starting his employment, McCormick began attending the same Bible studies as Cummings. In church, she even sat close to him. Brady was interested in all Cummings-related facts. And it was a success! They finally went on a first date after spending more time with him, and the rest is history.
She was open and honest with me right immediately. She has always been open and honest with me. Cummings also told the Daily Mail in 2015, “I never worried about her going back to her old behavior because I thought, whatever comes up, we will just deal with it.”

Despite being “quick and passionate,” McCormick admitted their relationship was not always smooth. McCormick kept pushing Cummings away as she fought with her drug addiction and recovery. But he never went.
In her 2008 book, she said, “Michael stated that he had made a lifelong commitment and determined he was going to work at it until it’s unworkable.” “In many respects, he was correct when he believed that my development had been halted by child stardom.”

The couple, who had a child in 1989, will celebrate their 37th wedding anniversary on March 16th, despite the ups and downs.
“I am aware that our faith is the primary factor that has allowed Michael and me to remain together despite all of the significant ups and downs,” according to McCormick. Despite our differences, the two of us thought that our love was genuine, robust, long-lasting, and deserving of perseverance. We assumed our love was real due to our values.
