Michael Jackson’s father announced that the celebrity had a third son

In the early 2000s, speculations emerged regarding Michael Jackson possibly fathering another child in the 1980s. This child, Omer Bhatti, was born in 1984 to a Norwegian family residing in Oslo. After spending time with Michael, Omer and his family relocated from Oslo to California, USA, to work for the Jackson family. Omer’s mother, Pia Bhatti, was hired as a nanny for Blanket Jackson, born on February 21, 2002.

Michael passed away on June 25, 2009, due to a drug overdose resulting from a combination of medications administered by his doctor.

In July 2009, just over a month after Michael’s death, Joe Jackson, Michael’s father, virtually confirmed the star’s connection to Omer during an interview with TV One. Joe remarked, “Yes, I knew he had another son, yes I did,” and went on to highlight Omer’s resemblance to the Jackson family and his impressive dancing abilities.

Around the same time, Michael’s brother, Jermaine Jackson, expressed that if it was proven they were related, Omer, then 25 years old, would be embraced as a part of the Jackson family. Jermaine stated, “If Omer’s his son, he’s his son. We won’t deny it. We are going to give him the same love and care that we give Prince and Paris and Blanket. I can’t clearly say if he is Michael’s but I saw this kid around him.”

Omer, who grew up dressing up as Michael and performing as a young impersonator of the Thriller singer, previously disclosed that he and his parents met Michael in Tunisia in 1996. He described Michael’s role in his life as a form of adoption. Despite these statements, his mother, Pia, “denied” that he was fathered by the King of Pop, according to reports via AmoMama.

Notably, Joe and Jermaine were not the only family members to welcome Omer into the fold.
