Michael Strahan shares some terrible health news about his daughter Isabella…

Michael Strahan’s 19-year-old daughter, Isabella Strahan, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. The devastating diagnosis of medulloblastoma, a malignant tumor of the central nervous system, was received in October of last year. Isabella initially thought she was suffering from vertigo, but worsening symptoms prompted her family to insist on a thorough medical checkup.

Isabella underwent an electrocardiogram and an MRI scan, revealing a fast-growing tumor larger than a golf ball in the back of her brain. Medulloblastoma, accounting for 20 percent of childhood brain tumors, is considered rare for someone of Isabella’s age, according to her father, Michael Strahan, a Good Morning America star and former professional football player.

On her 19th birthday, Isabella underwent emergency surgery at Cedars-Sinai to remove the mass. Subsequently, she underwent a month of rehabilitation and completed several rounds of radiation treatment, ringing the bell to signify the end of her sessions.

Despite experiencing fatigue, nausea, and dizziness during treatment, Isabella expressed feeling good. She is set to begin chemotherapy next month at Duke Children’s Hospital & Health Center in Durham, North Carolina. Although she kept her health battle private until now, Isabella plans to partner with the hospital to document her chemotherapy journey for a YouTube series, aiming to be a voice for those undergoing similar treatments.

Once her treatment is complete, Isabella hopes to return to California and resume her college studies at the University of Southern California. She looks forward to getting back into a routine and enjoying her college experience after overcoming this challenging health ordeal.
