Mom gives a tough lesson to her disrespectful child for throwing her gift in the trash…

Haley Hassell, a single mother, must exercise “tough love” or her little daughter will walk all over her. Being a harsh mom, on the other hand, might be challenging at times. However, not this time! After Haley purchased the nicest and most popular pencil holder she could find for her “ungrateful” six-year-old daughter, the child threw it in the garbage and proceeded to throw a temper tantrum, and mom was not going to let any of it go.

Haley, from Florida, wrote about how she disciplined her daughter for throwing a tantrum after going to great lengths to obtain the little girl the precise pencil box she desired. Presleigh, the daughter, “needed” the specially branded pencil holder, so Mom looked high and low for it until she found the ideal one. However, the small girl threw the present into the garbage as if it were horrible to refuse because she couldn’t control her fury.

“Ms. Presleigh learned a tough love lesson today,” Haley said on Facebook. “I went to three different stores to get that LOL pencil box in the trash.” When I gave it to her this afternoon (thinking she’d be overjoyed), she gazed at it, put it in the garbage, and shut the bedroom door. “That’s stupid,” she said. That is something that everyone in my class possesses. “I don’t want it any longer!”

“WHAT STOP COME AGAIN?” the lone mother added. Okay, so there was probably smoke coming out of my ears by this point, and I’m trying very hard not to lose it on this girl whom I’ve worked so hard to totally take care of financially on my own and make sure she always has what she needs and then some. But I thought I had always taught her to be appreciative and aware of how fortunate she was, but clearly, she needed a gentle nudge!”

“So, before I go fully Madea on my child, I stop myself and say, “Okay, that’s OK, let me go grab the one you’re going to use.” She returned with her new pencil box, which is a Ziploc bag. She’s gone insane!”

“Suddenly, the LOL Box she just trashed was good enough, and the Ziploc bag was horrible,” she said. But it’s too late for that now. I told her to take the LOL out of the garbage and we’d find a child to give it to tomorrow—one whose parents don’t have money for school supplies or who may not even have a mother or father.”

“I explained to her she’s not entitled to anything special, and she is taking for granted how lucky she is,” stated the single mother. “For the time being, she will use a Ziploc bag and personally deliver the nice box to a child who could benefit from it. “Maybe I exaggerate at times, but I would have given anything to have all of the things she did as a youngster.”

“I truly believe that changing your perception and simply being grateful can change the course of your life.” #UngratefulnessDONTflyOverHere”

This mother would not allow her daughter to be a brat. Hopefully, more parents will follow in her footsteps.
