The Armed Forces are, without a doubt, a struggle, and having a son or daughter in the Armed Forces is both fantastic and equally, if not more, hard in every aspect, particularly in terms of their safety and longevity. That is why you use every opportunity to visit your child as often as possible!
Heather Almond is reminded of this every day because her son Gavin has enrolled in the United States Army and is presently doing basic training there!

Heather, of course, leaped at the chance to spend the weekend with her son and flew to Fort Benning, Georgia, to visit him.
She brought her kid out to lunch nearby at a sushi restaurant, but when she asked for the bill, something absolutely unexpected happened! She had to post what occurred next on Facebook:
“With my daughter and mother, I went to see my son at Fort Benning this weekend.” He’s in basic training, and it was a family weekend for him. We went to a Japanese restaurant since he likes sushi.

We probably ordered $100 in food, and when we went to pay, the waitress stated that the people at the next table had paid our bill and thanked our son for his service. They were gone by the time I realized what had occurred, but I had taken a picture of my son with one of the individuals in the background.
I’m not sure who she is, but I can tell you that it meant everything to us. We’ll figure out a way to pay it forward.”
These wonderful folks noticed Gavin spending time with his family in between basic training and wanted to help without ever approaching him. Gavin’s family will remember this event for the rest of their lives!
