MRI of 33-year-old woman’s face reveals where her fillers disappeared, and it’s terrifying…

Someone caught a surgeon posting a video of an MRI.

Over time, injectable hyaluronic acid fillers expanded and moved independently.

The discoveries astonished thousands who claimed their fillers had never vanished.

Dermal fillers are gel-like compounds injected under the skin.

The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery recommends skin treatments to restore volume, reduce lines and wrinkles, and enhance face contours.

The board reports that over a million people annually select this popular face rejuvenation therapy.

The most frequent injectable filler is hyaluronic acid, which typically lasts 6–18 months.

Dr. Kami Parsa, an oculoplastic surgeon from Beverly Hills, posted an MRI video on his TikTok account on July 12. The video demonstrated how injectables transformed the patient’s face.

The patient, a 33-year-old lady, had undergone almost 12 CC (milliliters) of hyaluronic acid filler over six years.

In a video with over 7 million views, an MRI revealed a gray face with green patches in regions such as lips and cheeks where filler was still present.

Dr. Parsa measured her filler quantity and found it to be 28 CCs. He did not specify the treatments performed.

“That’s more than double what was injected,” he remarked in his tape. He went further: “This shows us that hyaluronic acid fillers attract water.”

“This means they expand tissue too.”

One TikTok user expressed concern about the MRI’s potential impact on the lymphatic system.

Another user commented, “FINALLY, WE ARE DISCUSSING THIS.” ⁣ “Mass production without warning!” “I need more information about Botox.”

Dr. Parsa stated that Botox has been around for a long time and is safe if done correctly.

The MRI indicated that the quantity of hyaluronic acid filler had increased.

A commenter mentioned the importance of water in preserving filler. A viewer brought up: “I tell people I only got my lips done three times with five ml each time, and it’s been five years since then, but my lips still look the same because it does not dissolve.”

One netizen commented, “When it first came out, all injectors said it would only last six months,” to which Dr. Parsa responded, “That’s what companies told us.” I had chin filler once a decade ago and have never required a touch-up since. The situation has been consistent throughout time.

Another user remarked, “I had my lips done 8 years ago.” They haven’t disappeared.”

Celebrities who overuse fillers typically face criticism.

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes faced criticism on social media after old and new images of the couple surfaced earlier this year.

Meredith West, a physician assistant with a Master of Science degree and 15 years of experience in plastic surgery and injectables, published a joint Instagram video with Mountcastle Medical Spa from Virginia on March 29.

Ryan and Eva’s “before and after” photographs in the video revealed significant changes in their appearance, seeming “puffier” than previously.

“I think they’ve both had some recent cosmetic work,” Meredith stated in her post.

“I believe Eva might have had facial surgery (maybe a facelift +/- fat grafting), plus they both likely got Botox along with fillers,” she told me.

Hyaluronic acid is the most often used form of injectable filler.

Using too much Botox or fillers might have negative consequences. According to Nurse Gemavie, excessive Botox use might cause muscular paralysis and abnormal facial movements.

According to dermatologist Jessica Weiser, “We see quite a bit of [overdone filler], unfortunately,” as reported by Allure in March. “That classic pillowface look—very puffy with odd proportions” describes how it appears.

Allure identifies bad injector selections as a contributing factor to the issue.

We provide medical-grade skincare products for maintenance, including CO2 treatments, radiofrequency, laser, and microneedling. Jonny Betteridge, an aesthetics specialist, is among numerous medical professionals who have commented on the physical changes of the Barbie star over time.
On March 28, Jonny shared a reel with over two million views, discussing how Ryan’s visage has altered over time.

Dr. Parsa conducted an investigation on fillers for a 33-year-old patient. ‍

According to Jonny, the flatness in his mid-face area is particularly noticeable.
