In a society where the desire to help people in need is instinctive, a troubling new scam has evolved that takes advantage of the sympathy of compassionate Samaritans. A watchful mother has taken to social media to warn others of a disturbing scam. She warned people of the dangers of stopping to help what seems to be an abandoned baby or stroller along the roadside.

The mother’s post, which has already gone viral, contains a photo of a stroller parked just off a road near some shrubs. Her urgent note reads: “If you notice a stroller, car seat, or any form of baby scenario alone in the middle of nowhere, please do not leave.” Be safe.”

The warning elicited an immediate and widespread response. Many people stated their agreement and revealed their concerns:
Safety Concerns: One commenter stated, “Yes, people lay in wait. At best, they steal from you, and at worst, they beat you up.
Economic Desperation: According to another, “Families are struggling, and some of them will use kids as bait.”
Thieves employ the ‘abandoned infant’ strategy to surprise unsuspecting persons. When a kind-hearted individual stops to check on the seemingly abandoned stroller, the thieves attack. This frequently leads to theft or physical harm.

Such warnings are not new. However, the current post has received a lot of attention, with people from all around the world remarking on how cruel it is to use a kid as bait.
Public Reaction: One mother said, “OMG, I would be out of the car so fast to check; thanks for the warning.”
Emotional Manipulation: Another individual commented, “This is so cruel because they are targeting the best of us.”
Given the probable danger, several alternatives to stopping are suggested:
“I would just call the cops to look at it.” It seems harsh, but it’s not worth the bother.”
Others advised staying in the vehicle and alerting law authorities instead of violently intervening.
