Novak Djokovic won his 24th Grand Slam title at the US Open. He was overcome with emotion after his historic victory and embraced his daughter, Tara, which his fans didn’t appreciate…

Novak Djokovic is the world’s top-ranked tennis player, having won his 24th Grand Slam at the US Open on Sunday.

Djokovic defeated Daniil Medvedev in a tough final that saw the two men go to consecutive sets of 6-3, 7-6, 6-3. This victory came after Djokovic was barred from competing in 2022, yet he now owns the record for the oldest champion ever in 2023.

This victory was extremely meaningful to the tennis player and left him overcome with emotion. Following his triumph, Djokovic stated, “It obviously meant the world to me,” and was pictured warmly holding his daughter Tara.

Djokovic also stated that his achievements as a tennis professional were a dream come true and that being at the top was the icing on the cake. “I never thought I’d be talking about 24 Slams,” he said, “but I thought I had a shot the last couple of years.”

The 36-year-old paid tribute to the late basketball player Kobe Bryant, whom he described as someone who was big on developing a winning mentality, and Djokovic felt that his 24th win was a good time to honor him because 24 was the number on his jersey, not to mention that he was someone he looked up to and shared similar values with.

People did not think Djokovic’s emotions were sincere, despite the fact that he had won 24 of 36 finals. Commentators called the tennis player a “drama queen.”

While some did not understand the emotions because it was “just a game,” admirers praised Djokovic for his talent. They also believed he needed to “grow up and learn to be humble.”

Some even accused Djokovic of being arrogant on the field, pointing out how he throws himself on the floor as if he can’t move simply to come back on the field and play at full power. In addition, most assumed that the emotions he wept when he held his daughter after winning were staged for the cameras.

Some fans, on the other hand, were thrilled for the tennis winner and understood where the intense feelings came from. One supporter argued the tears were all justified since Djokovic had altered the course of international tennis.

Others admired how he celebrated this momentous occasion with his family, demonstrating that he was a devoted father and a devoted family guy. “She’s precious,” one commentator commented of the tennis player’s contact with his kid.

Djokovic and his wife, Jelena, have two children: Stefan Djokovic, a son, and Tara Djokovic, a girl. They were high school sweethearts who married in 2014.

Tara was born in 2017, the same year they had their first child. Djokovic shared the news of both his children’s births on social media, along with heartfelt remarks.

When Stefan arrived, his father expressed his admiration for his wife and thanked his admirers for their unwavering support. Tara’s caption was significantly longer. Again, the pleased father did not fail to express his admiration for his wife.

He also expressed gratitude to his supporters for following them on their adventure and informed them that Tara and Jelena were safe and out of the hospital. Stefan was also believed to be looking forward to being a big brother.

Stefan is now nine years old and has apparently begun to demonstrate athletic ability. His father, on the other hand, made it clear that he would not compel his kid to play tennis. “It’s really just his desire to get on the court. “So, if he wants to go on this road, I think I’ll have to go along with him,” Djokovic said again.

Stefan has shown a genuine interest in the sport thus far. Tara, on the other hand, is said to be uninterested in tennis. Ballet and gymnastics are her favorite sports.

Djokovic is also very proud to be her daughter’s father. He claims that his daughter takes him in all directions, but he enjoys the ride with her. He also mentioned how weak he feels whenever he looks at Tara.

Despite the fact that the tennis champion is creating history, his wife has had to cope with the pressures of raising children with someone of his caliber as well as the obstacles of motherhood. Jelena spoke out about how her children affected her and her husband’s lives in an interview with Graham Bensinger.

When asked if they were considering having more children, the mother of two stated that her plate was already full and that she could do without another child.

However, she understood why her husband would want to extend their family, given how hectic his profession had kept him. So, having the opportunity to be a part of every step of having a child is something he would like to do because he missed out on a portion of his children’s lives.

Jelena’s life was altered by becoming a mother. She admitted feeling a lot of pressure to raise her son Stefan to be “special” because his father was already a historical figure at the age of 30.

But she soon realized that in order to be the perfect mother, she had ignored herself and her well-being, so she went on a spiritual journey to Ecuador, which altered her life for the better. Jelena is now a firm believer in self-care.
