Ozzy Osbourne chastises Kanye West for using a ‘War Pigs’ sample without permission for his single ‘Talking/Once Again’

Ozzy Osbourne has publicly called out Kanye West for sampling his music without approval. The 75-year-old rock star expressed his disapproval in a now-deleted Instagram post. West, 46, sampled a live performance of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” for his new single, “Talking / Once Again,” which was unveiled during a listening party in Chicago’s United Center.

In the Instagram post, Osbourne wrote in all caps, expressing his frustration with West’s use of his music without consent. The track, a collaboration with rapper Ty Dolla $ign, also features West’s daughter North, and is speculated to be part of his upcoming album “Vultures,” initially set to be released on the same day as the Instagram post.

Osbourne’s disapproval adds to the controversies surrounding West, including past instances of bullying and antisemitic comments. In October 2022, West faced criticism for allegedly making antisemitic remarks in a text exchange with Diddy, where he claimed that Combs was controlled by Jewish people.

More recently, in November 2023, West performed his song “Vultures” in Dubai, featuring offensive lyrics. This led to accusations of antisemitism, prompting West to issue a public apology in Hebrew on Instagram two weeks later. In the apology, he expressed regret for any pain caused and pledged to learn from the experience, emphasizing his commitment to making amends and promoting unity.
