Pink, Pat Benatar, Sheryl Crow, Rob Halford, and Annie Lennox join Dolly Parton for a triumphant rendition of ‘Jolene’ and the crowd goes crazy!

Dolly Parton sang a triumphant performance of “Jolene” at her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Pink, Sheryl Crow, Rob Halford, Pat Benatar, Annie Lennox, Dave Stewart, Brandi Carlile, and Simon Le Bon were among the numerous celebrity guests who joined the Queen of Country for her rendition of the smash. Throughout the concert, the country music star appeared to be celebrating success and emanated an electrifying enthusiasm.

Pink sang the first line, followed by Dolly Parton’s opening hook and a duet with her. Pink’s grin told it all: She was happy to be in the same room as the great Dolly Parton. Annie Lennox of Eurythmics sang the next verse, and then the star-studded vocal line joined in for the chorus. The roster of A-listers continued to arrive at a dizzying pace, with Rob Halford, the metal god, Pat Benatar, and Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran all taking turns rapping.

Over a million people viewed the live rendition of “Jolene” on YouTube, demonstrating how popular the performance was among the audience. Dolly Parton “has music flowing through her soul,” according to one YouTube user. No matter who she sings with, her voice will blend perfectly. I appreciate Dolly Parton’s uplifting, life-affirming spirit and sheer talent. Her personality is full of invention, and her heart is very compassionate. Praise to God!

Pink inducted Dolly Parton into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame during the 37th annual ceremony on November 5, 2022, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California. Other awardees that night were Judas Priest, Carly Simon, Jimmy Jam, Neil Giraldo, Duran Duran, Eminem, Eurythmics, and Lionel Richie. Parton performed two songs at the ceremony, one of which was “Rockin’ It” with the Zac Brown Band.

Parton initially wanted to withdraw from her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after receiving the news because she did not believe she had earned the distinction. After some thought, the country musician reconsidered and went ahead with the induction. During her winning speech, Parton boldly stated, “I’m a rock star now!”. Then she revealed why she was hesitant to accept the accolade, saying, “I’m sure a lot of you knew that back when they said they were going to put me in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I didn’t feel like I had done enough to deserve that.” There’s also more to it than I realized at the time. Being here tonight is an honor, and I could not be more proud.
