Princess Charlotte arrives in Switzerland with Prince William for a special royal function

Princess Charlotte has joined Prince William in Basel, Switzerland, where the royals will cheer on the Lionesses.

The 10-year-old royal will make her first public appearance at a football game alongside her father, who Prince George usually accompanies.

“The Prince of Wales has arrived in Switzerland.” “Princess Charlotte will join him to cheer on the Lionesses this afternoon,” Kensington Palace announced.

On Sunday evening, the father and daughter will cheer on England’s women’s football team when they face world champions Spain in the 2025 Euros final.

Prince George is frequently spotted with his father at football games, having previously joined William when they watched their beloved team, Aston Villa, during their heartbreaking Champions League campaign earlier this year.

However, this time, Charlotte will guide the next generation of royals at Switzerland’s St. Jakob-Park stadium.

The Lionesses will be seeking to avenge the 2023 World Cup final, in which Spain’s women defeated England 1-0.

Prince William delivered stirring words of support to the Lionesses ahead of their encounter on Sunday.

“Good luck to the Lionesses tomorrow,” William wrote in the letter.

He kept going: “The nation is so proud you are through to the final, after some stunning comebacks!”

William said, “We are all cheering you on!”

The Prince of Wales signed off the letter with a simple “W,” indicating that it had come from him personally.

Reacting to England’s 2-1 victory against Italy in Tuesday’s semi-final, William tweeted, “Brilliant performance @Lionesses!” “One game away from glory!”

His declaration was accompanied by King Charles’ message of congratulations and good luck for the final.

The King said, “My wife and I, together with the rest of our family, extend our heartfelt congratulations to the proud Lionesses for reaching the final of the UEFA EURO championship.

“Your journey to this point has been nothing short of incredible, demonstrating the ability, tenacity (and nerve!) for which your team is justly famous.

“Given the Lionesses’ battling mentality, I believe we are in for another fascinating match on Sunday.

“Your accomplishments continue to inspire many girls and women around the country, demonstrating once more that with effort and collaboration, anything is possible.

“Good luck to England. May you shout triumphantly once more. He signed off as “Charles R.”
