Bad parents who let their children run wild at a restaurant are undeniably obnoxious.
When this happens, the parents are usually treated with side looks and passive, hostile sighs, but one establishment charges them for it.
Toccoa River Restaurant in Blue Ridge, Georgia, USA, featured a premium for ‘adults unable to parent’ on their menus.
However, the price is not specified and is merely offered as ‘$$$’.
The eatery also appears to have a $3 premium for sharing meals and adds a 20 percent gratuity for groups of over six if you need separate checks and if you choose the ‘birthday menu’.

While the Toccoa River Restaurant offers a discount for cash clients, those who pay by credit card must pay a 3.5 percent non-cash adjustment fee.
An image of the menu was published on Reddit, sparking an online debate in a typical Reddit manner.

“This restaurant charges you extra for bad parenting,” someone wrote as the caption on a r/mildyinteresting thread.
The extra may have been included as a joke, but it hasn’t gone over well with everyone.
“Passive-aggressive declarations where they really don’t belong always trigger a bit of sympathetic embarrassment for me,” a member of the public commented.
“Real adults running a business decided to write this insipid s**t on something they’ll hand out to everyone who walks in the door.” Amazing.”
“If I read this in a restaurant, I’d probably leave,” remarked another. Charge for misbehaving children and a $3 ‘sharing charge,’ as if who cares if I want to share my food once I’ve paid for it?”

“If I saw that, I would leave and go somewhere else,” said a third.
Another person said, “This is an absolute trap; I’m leaving quickly regardless of whether my child is there or not.”
Others criticized the several extra fees shown on the menu.
One of them said, “The food must be amazing for people to put up with the attitude on the menu.”
Toccoa River Restaurant has been approached by UNILAD for comment.
While not everyone agrees with the charges, one waiter who turned to social media feels that a 20% gratuity should be added to your bill.
In a video posted on the platform, TikToker @mylasoasis_ says, “If you can’t afford to tip 20%, you can’t afford to eat out.”
