Sarah Jessica Parker expresses heartfelt tribute to husband Matthew Broderick on their 26th anniversary

Actress Sarah Jessica Parker, known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw on “Sex and the City,” recently marked her 26th anniversary with actor Matthew Broderick with a heartfelt message on Instagram.

Parker and Broderick tied the knot on May 19, 1997, and have remained happily married since then, which is rare in Hollywood. Before her relationship with Broderick, Parker dated actor Robert Downey Jr. for seven years.

The couple met in the early ’90s when Broderick became involved in a Broadway theater company founded by Parker’s brothers. Despite coming from different backgrounds, they shared a passion for acting and theater.

Their relationship blossomed after Broderick asked Parker out on a date, and they soon realized they were meant for each other. In 1997, they surprised their wedding guests by getting married at a Lower East Side synagogue, with Parker wearing a black wedding dress.

Broderick has been supportive of Parker’s career, encouraging her to take on the role of Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex and the City.” They have three children together, and despite their busy lives, they prioritize spending quality time together.

As they celebrate their 26th anniversary, Parker took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message for her husband, expressing their love and appreciation for each other.

Despite their fame, they prefer to keep their marriage private, but Broderick shared some advice on keeping a marriage happy: “Listen to her. Give her a little present every now and then. Just be kind to her.”
